It's been twenty years since Louis Vuitton and artist Takashi Marakami first joined forces on what has since become an era-defining collaboration. This January, the fashion house has teamed with the Japanese artist once more for a joyful and celebratory re-edition that reimagines the original collection. Tokyo-born Marakami is famed for his unique blend of traditional Japanese art, anime and whimsical kawaii characters which, alongside the kaleidoscopic reinterpretation of the iconic Louis Vuitton Monogram pattern, can be seen playfully depicted across women's leather goods, accessories and perfume.
British brand Connolly was founded in 1878 by a family of shoe-menders and saddlers. Today, fashion and leather products are sustainably sourced and design focused, with luxurious practicality at the heart of the brand. The knitwear, which is made in Scotland and finished in soft Scottish water, is second to none. Trust Zimmermann to have us dreaming of winter sun by way of their latest resort collection. Characterised by ruffles and texture galore, the collection takes reference from the 80s, drawing on movie references as well as prominent female actors from that era, such as Winona Ryder and Lisa Bonet, who Nicky Zimmermann would emulate during her time at design school. The collection is aptly entitled 'Crush' and is both playful and bursting with all the romantic and feminine details that we've come to know and love from the Australian label. Head to Moda Operandi and Zimmermann to shop the collections now.
Bluebella have collaborated with model, athlete and activist, Lauren Wasser ahead of Valentine's Day to celebrate self-acceptance and confidence with their lingerie collection entitled 'Love Letters'. Of the collection, Laurens shares that "'Love Letters' is about owning yourself, something I feel that I really embody. I think that's what makes us all unique and special in our own way."
Massimo Dutti, a high street favourite amongst the fashion set and editors alike, has opened a pop-up shop in Verbier for the peak ski season. Open until 2 February, this Alpine lodge is a space where contemporary design meets the beauty of the Swiss Alps. If you're heading there for a spot of skiing, it's not to be missed. An immersion into a curated lifestyle and inspired by the surrounding landscape, expect an edit of cashmere knits, technical outerwear and leather accessories that are designed for both style and function. Add to that the après offering of local cheeses, quiches and mini-bites, as well as a bar that transitions effortlessly from day-to-night, and you'd be forgiven for spending more time in Verbier's Massimo Dutti than the slopes.
Designed for bed and beyond, luxury loungewear label Sleeper have become synonymous with their iconic feather-trimmed pyjama sets and smocked linen summer dresses. Citizens of Humanity have pre-launched their SS25 collection with NET-A-PORTER, spotlighting the premium denim brand's latest innovation in indigo dying. Together, with French biochemicals company Pili, they are beginning a positive transformative shift in the denim industry with their launch of Eco-Indigo, a new and advanced bio indigo dye. This approach to denim production will significantly cut the use of harmful chemicals and fossil fuel resources, while aiming to reduce oil dependence and CO2 emissions by 50 per cent. The new method seamlessly integrates with existing dying techniques and is a milestone in the future of more sustainable denim production. We love the new Miro style, a more tapered take on the barrel-leg silhouette that's set to become a cult classic.
