13 New Products CF's Beauty Director Has Fallen In Love With This February

Fall in love with the very best new February beauty launches, just in time for Valentine’s Day, with Citizen Femme’s beauty director’s tried and tested recommendations.

Including the prettiest palettes from Chantecaille and Iconic London to the glow-boosting toner that’s helping me hide winter dullness, these are the best February beauty launches that I think you should be using right now.

THE LATEST HAIR TOOL

The iconic Dyson AirWrap is only getting better and better – both in terms of colour choices and the tech behind it. The latest app-based controls mean it basically curls your hair for you (try it and I promise you will agree). This romantic pink shade will look the prettiest on your dressing table.

THE SENSITIVE SKIN SOLUTION

What I love most about Sisley's new silky cream is that it feels so much more luxurious than most sensitive skin formulas (which are often quite clinical), without losing its redness-reducing punch. Powered by botanicals, such as golden kelp and Japanese Lily of the Valley, alongside nourishing oils, it's become a complete go-to for my reactive skin.

THE EYESHADOW

There was a collective 'oh how gorgeous' in the CF office when I opened this stunning eyeshadow trio from Chantecaille, and the devil really is in the details. From the slightly raised butterfly on the lid (a nod to the brand's partnership with the Butterfly Conservation charity) to the high-pigment eye-brightening shades inside, the palette is – almost – too pretty to use. But you'll be glad you did.

This eyeshadow is so pretty there was a collective ‘oh how gorgeous’ from the team when I opened it.

THE TRENDING LIP GLOW

I cannot stop using this lip colour duo from Dior's latest collection. The new Lip Glow is the perfect hybrid between a nourishing balm and a natural pop of high-shine colour, with a warming undertone that instantly wakes up your face. Then, you can layer the Maximiser on top to instantly enhance and further define your pout.

THE PRETTY PALETTE

Another makeup product that's been given an audibly positive reaction by the CF team, this skin-defining gradiented powder is just as pretty on your skin as it is in the palette. I've been using it to give my winter-worn skin a little lift, by buffing a fluffy brush across the pan and swirling along my cheekbones and T-zone.

THE PEPTIDE SERUM

Want to get rid of your fine lines, without the risk of irritation from retinoids? This is the serum to invest in this February. It is powered by peptides (no less than 13 different varieties), which trigger the production of skin-smoothing collagen. Plus, if you are impatient to see results, there's a polymer that smooths your expression lines in just 10 minutes too. That's impressive.

THE HAIR HERO

If you've been dreaming of glossier, swishier hair, this grow-boosting serum is my top pick. The vitamin and peptide-powered drops support your hair's growth through all three stages, deeply nourishing your scalp and strands to help support growth and reduce breakage. An additional benefit: you can enjoy a stress-relieving head massage every time you gently work it into your hair.

THE BROW DEFINER

I never pass up the opportunity to try a new Benefit brow product – mainly because they never fail to measure up to the hype. This fine-tipped pen (the finest one on the market, according to the brand) was just what I needed to quickly and effectively fill in and define my brows between brow appointments, with a really natural-looking, non-blocky finish.

THE LASH LIFT

I might just write a love letter to highstreet mascaras (and especially those by L'Oréal). They are proof that you don't need to break the bank to get all the volume and lift you could desire. I especially love this new launch for the way the brush helps fan out even the shortest of my lashes and it is great for sensitive eyes too.

There’s plenty of makeup essentials to fall in love with this February, not least this lash-lifting mascara that is an affordable addition to your cosmetics case.

THE EYE SERUM

Dr Sam's award-winning Brightly serum now has a little sister – this dark circle-tackling eye serum that is brilliant for tired-looking eyes. Combining milk thistle extract, niacinamide and bakuchiol, the dewy, smoothing and brightening effect it has on your under eyes is currently my favourite way to fake my beauty sleep.

THE SKINCARE KIT

This clever and multi-award-winning serum duo is specifically designed to protect your skin when hitting the slopes, but – trust me – it is great for all your holidays. Intensely hydrating and filled with skin barrier-fortifying niacinamide and growth factors, it plumps and firms your skin, while protecting against irritation and redness, so your complexion stays smooth however much you are on-the-go this year.

THE BREAKOUT TACKLER

Allies of Skin is known for its results-driven formulas and if you are breakout-prone this one is definitely for you. Combining a potent-blend of blackhead-clearing azelaic and kojic acids, the serum gently exfoliates (without causing problems for sensitive skin), treating not only blemishes but what spots can leave behind – namely redness and dull patches.

THE NOURISHING CLEANSER

I was obsessed with the Water Bank moisturiser from Laneige when I first tried it, so I was seriously excited to hear that a cleanser was coming to join the range. And, it measures up. This is a deep skin cleanse without any hint of tightness or stinging post-wash. In fact, your skin will feel super hydrated and refreshed, making it perfect for both morning and nighttime use.
