Arts + Lifestyle

Editor's Letter: March 2025

I met with an Ayurvedic doctor (mainly for my children) this week. With all the viruses going around, I looked to an alternate way to remedy, moving away from medications in the hope of trying a more holistic approach to our health at home.

During the appointment, he also took it upon himself to consult me. And with all the tips and tricks and advise he bestowed upon us, one was the art of daily meditation – to release everything that doesn’t serve you well (opinions, or otherwise). And, taking the time to eat slowly. Simple but useful.

Lessons to take care of one’s self! Something us, as women, often put as secondary. Whether we are working hard, achieving new heights, raising children, sometimes doing both, maintaining a social life, exercising, eating well, social media, etc etc etc – all the elements it takes to keep life going, exciting, successful, it can become impossible to have some element of balance. So this month, we appreciate women. We are focusing our March on women everywhere. From wellness retreats to life coaching and books every woman needs to read. We are focusing on you.

Plus, I’m very excited to be taking global tastemakers on an immersive trip to Discover Puerto Rico, on what will undoubtedly be an epic getaway. So watch this space! For anyone in Manchester, please come along on 5th March to the International Women’s Day panel and lunch at Sexy Fish, in association with Boodles. Londoners, on 20th March, we are hosting a panel around The Female Gaze at The Ivy Club with a stellar panel of women.

So, wonderful women, while March is women’s month, between me and you, every month is women’s month. So celebrate yourself daily, every victory, every achievement, every damn day. You deserve it.

Sheena
