This Week CF Loves: 03.03.25

What takes your breath away? A trip, an inspirational woman, a workout? March means spring is blooming, it also means world-over we celebrate women.

And while we enter the month of ‘Women’, we are always ensuring that our Citizen Femme women make the most of everyday. With that said, this week we’re looking to book unforgettable journeys, reserving unmissable restaurants and working out at London’s hottest new spot. This is what we’re loving in this week’s Citizen Femme hotlist.

BOOK THIS TRIP Scott Dunn's Awe-Inspiring Adventures

Travel can leave us breathless, speechless and loaded with stories for years to come. Perhaps this is the most magical part of travel? When you see something that makes time stop. Whether it’s watching the northern lights dance across an Icelandic sky, or sleeping in a glass pod in Patagonia, sometimes booking moments that stay with you forever is what travel dreams are made of. Scott Dunn are the tailormade luxury travel experts that know how to do just that. If historic stories make your jaw drop, then step back in time at Agrigento’s Valley of the Temples, where ancient Greek architecture rises majestically against golden sunsets; wander among olive groves and 2,500-year-old ruins, and discover the dramatic landscapes of Mount Etna, on Scott Dunn’s 10-night Sicilian adventure bringing together lavish accommodation, delectable gastronomy and enriching cultural experiences. Perhaps it’s nature? Take a front-row seat at one of Africa’s most dramatic wildlife spectacles, at Botswana’s Nxai Pan. Each year, thousands of zebras migrate across the arid plains, attracting predators like cheetahs and wild dogs in an epic dance of survival. In a 10-night itinerary, enjoy game drives at Nxai Pan Camp, tranquil mokoro rides in the Okavango Delta, and a trip to the iconic Victoria Falls. Are you ready to have your breath taken away? Then it’s time to discover Scott Dunn’s top experiences for 2025.

EAT HERE Vatavaran

Rohit Ghai has done it again. The acclaimed Michelin-starred chef has expanded his illustrious portfolio with new Knightsbridge establishment, Vatavaran, after launching Kutir in Chelsea in 2018 and Manthan in Mayfair in 2021, (and of course Benares, Trishna, Gymkhana….) The new luxury Indian restaurant, is visually as unmissable as the dishes are unforgettable. As someone who is a lover of Indian restaurants, this restaurant boasts dishes that are set to become some of London’s finest Indian options. Vatavaran (which translates to “atmosphere”) spans multiple levels, with a menu showcasing plenty of signature offerings that leave you perfectly satiated. Try the a fiery prawn starter and the excellent Kashmiri-chilli lamb chop, the kaali daal (a side of slow-cooked, butter-laced black lentils) and rotisserie masala chicken. Portions are small but the right amount of filling, and cocktails are perfectly punchy. A rose or mango lassi, or perhaps a saffron infused tequila cocktail, are ideal to match to the cuisine. Save room (or find room) for dessert, a chocolate hazelnut pud or mango cheese cake are a must. Then head upstairs to the bar on weekends for DJ nights.

WORKOUT HERE The Method, Notting Hill

The Method studio has opened its doors in stylish Notting Hill’s inimitable Westbourne Grove, offering four exclusive class concepts – DFLOW, BLAST, BEAT CARDIO and BALLET BOOST. A modern way of looking at fitness, health and wellbeing, this space and concept offers a 360-degree approach to feeling your best self. While the concept was founded with positivity at its core (not punishment), don’t be fooled into thinking these classes are a walk in the park. Take BLAST, a revolutionary full-body workout that strengthens the body while dancing along to banging beats, leaving you feeling high on endorphins. Or D Flow, a high-intensity, low impact, full-body, conditioning workout that will leave you feeling empowered and energised, toning your body whilst challenging your limits. For the full experience, there are two recovery rooms, a wet spa, Swedish sauna and cold plunge as well as outdoor terrace for the warmer months, member’s lounge and post workout protein fixes care of Nathalie Mayfair. Let The Method be your new method (also opening in Paris later this year and New York in 2026).

READ THIS An Opinionated Guide To Calm London

We all need more calm. The problem is, London is the worst place to find it. Or is it? Take a deep breath, let go of those preconceptions (and tight shoulders) and discover secret gardens, sublime lidos, sumptuous spas and seriously still sitting. Presenting An Opinionated Guide To Calm London, promising to reveal the city’s unexpectedly quiet side. This book is part of a growing series of opinionated guides which offer no-nonsense insider’s advice on what to do and see in the capital. Sometimes it isn’t about diving into google and the black hole that you could end up in. As the book opens, it says “It’s an oft quoted cliché that ‘When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life.’ Well, sometimes us Londoners are just plain tired.” We could probably all relate to that. This book doesn’t tell you about the best meditation studios, its about parks and gardens, places of ancient beauty, pockets of peace all over the city. It’s time to exhale and enjoy a moment of calm. At least let it be a conversation starter as you strategically place it on your coffee table.
