This Week CF Loves

This Week CF Loves: 24.03.25

Spring has officially arrived in the UK – and with it we’re dreaming of weekend getaways in Europe, Mediterranean-inspired interiors, plus new makeup and accessories in time for the new season.

A quick hop across the channel, Paris is an ideal spring city break and this new hotel is just the right amount of playful to add some fun to any trip (whatever the weather may bring). Or, bring the European lifestyle into your own home with ceramics in homage to Ibiza; make a timeless investment at the new Rolex flagship store; brighten up your look with these new lip serums; and unleash your inner performer at this brand-new bar that takes cues from musical theatre. This is what we’re loving in this week’s Citizen Femme hotlist.

STAY HERE Hotel Experimental Marais

Born in Paris, Experimental returns to its roots with the launch of Hotel Experimental Marais (accompanying the existing Grand Pigalle Experimental and Grand Boulevards Experimental). Experimental began in Paris with a cocktail bar that redefined the city’s nightlife. Now the group are innovating in hospitality and setting a new code in luxury experiences. This new boutique property has location as its key, just a 10-minute walk from the original Experimental Cocktail Club, and features a 43 room hotel bringing out the history and cultural heritage of the Marais, with grand arches, stained glass windows, bold architectural lines, a beautiful spa in collaboration with Susanne Kaufmann, an indoor swimming pool, a cocktail bar, and restaurant that promises to be a new culinary destination. The restaurant Temple & Chapon is inspired by the classic New York chophouses of the 1950s, bringing a touch of Manhattan’s bold energy to the heart of Paris. The upstairs American Bar continues the celebration of Experimental’s origins, paying homage to its founding vision and Parisian roots. This is a place to be seen and be sociable, ready to be Paris’ new hotspot.

ENTERTAIN WITH THESE Ibizan Eyes Collection from dbCeramic

Dreaming of Ibiza? Bring a piece into your own home with forever Ibiza fan Deborah Brett and her ceramics line. Just launched, the new collection is an homage to Ibiza – La Isla Blanca – and its incomparable landscapes and beautiful culture. Having lived on the island for over 18 years now, the new collection is ideal for the spring / summer entertaining season. “”I’ve always been taken with the evil eye motif – l’ve worn one on a pendant since childhood. My family and I often collect pebbles on our local beach in Ibiza and paint eyes onto them which we then decorate the table with. It was these that inspired me to translate the illustrations onto select pieces from my Vellum White tableware collection. A perfect pairing of blue & white and accents of gold, this contemporary collection is all about summer living for me – bright skies and fresh air.” Bring the Spanish Balearics into your home, perfectly paired with fresh Grecian salads.

INDULGE HERE The Watches of Switzerland Group x Rolex Boutique

Watches of Switzerland Group has opened a four-storey Rolex flagship on Old Bond Street in London (in what was previously the Gucci store). In an outstanding new development, not only for Rolex fans but also watch lovers, visitors can immerse themselves in a showroom that has the same precise interior finishing as the watch itself, instantly recognisable as a Rolex destination that mixes Italian marble, glass, leather and soft furnishings in shades of green with towering walls of pale stone, much of it with the same fluting as a Rolex Datejust’s bezel. The boutique carries all iconic families such as GMT Master II, Cosmograph Daytona, and Submariner showcased, plus a floor dedicated to Rolex Certified Pre-Owned and a Rolex Exhibition which proudly displays the finest heritage pieces from the last 120 years. The store redefines the luxury experience for watch lovers and worth a stop as you stroll down the ever-fashionable Old Bond Street.

BOOK A NIGHT OUT HERE The Room Where It Happens

Soho has the musical theatre bar it’s been waiting for. Perched atop the newly transformed townhouse at 5 Greek Street, The Room Where It Happens is a heady fusion of old-world elegance and electric, late-night abandon. In this dedicated haven, show-tune lovers can gather, sing, and celebrate their mutual love of musical theatre. From Thursday through Saturday, it’s stained-glass windows reverberate with showstopping numbers and rousing harmonies that transform any evening into a mini West End finale. Head up to the top floor—historically a haunt for the flamboyant Oscar Wilde—and begin your evening at Oscar’s Bar. Lush green velvet, a gilded gold ceiling, and stained-glass windows set the scene, whilst delicate Georgian grape motifs nod to the building’s storied past. Flickering candles illuminate the space—inviting you to unleash your inner Elphaba, rap like Hamilton, or channel your disco icon. By day, it’s a charming spot for anyone seeking a dash of showbiz sparkle. Come 5pm on Thursdays and Fridays (with an encore on Saturdays); professional resting actors double as singing servers, mixing 2-for-1 cocktails that set a playful tone. Then, as 9pm approaches, the resident pianist ignites an impromptu singalong that ripples through the crowd. What happens in The Room Where it Happens? A damn good time, that’s what.
