Things To Do In May 2025: What The CF Team Are Loving

Spring is well and truly underway, and this month includes two bank holiday weekends in the UK. With plenty of inspiration for things to do throughout May 2025, this is what the CF Team are up to over the next few weeks.

Including places to explore and eatproducts to try, new ideas on what to shop, and lots to watch – this is what the Citizen Femme team’s calendar is filled with this May.

BOOK This month sees our Passport To Luxury Travel Summit. It’s a day packed with panels, immersive activations and workshops with incredible speakers, female entrepreneurs, business leaders, designers, and travel enthusiasts. Held on 15 May at Old Sessions House, it’s an event you won’t want to miss! EAT My last indulgent supper (before my baby is born) at La Petite Maison, my forever favourite restaurant in London. INDULGE IN Summer weather means I have a weakness for ice cream and my go-to is always Badiani, their pistachio gelato is really unforgettable. WATCH I’m very excited to see Giant at the Harold Pinter Theatre. Nicholas Hytner directing with John Lithgow reprising his role as Roald Dahl. BINGE I’m ready to binge The Four Seasons and You on Netflix. BUY I’m obsessed with this Pandora Gold Lab-grown Diamond Bangle, stacked or worn with the ring, it’s low-key elegance that I love to wear with my jeans and white t-shirt. VISIT A short day trip to Soho Farmhouse for some fresh country air.

STAY I’m spending most of the month in London and am planning a mini staycation at Shangri-La The Shard. I can’t wait to take in the bright city lights from above. BUY I’m slightly obsessed with metallic silver trainers, and have my eye on Alohas’490 Rife Shimmer Silver Cream Leather Sneakers to jazz up outfits this spring/summer. I really love their pink colourway too. TRY I recently attended a make-your-own jewellery class where I made a sea-shell necklace, and now I’m obsessed with all things beachy for my jewellery. I want to design more myself, but also have my eye on these shell ear studs by Miss Cecilia on Wolf & Badger. ATTEND This very exciting immersive travel event hosted by Citizen Femme and AllBright. We’re holding it on 15 May at Old Sessions House and I’m so excited to delve into the many conversations. In fact, it’s one of the main reasons I’m in London this month! See you there? EAT Back in Athens I have a special dinner booked at Tudor Hall, one of the city’s top restaurants. It received a Michelin Star in 2023 and 2024, and is a place I’d highly recommend for elegant, high-end dining in the Greek capital (with Acropolis views).

STAY At Cali Mykonos, considering their wellness offering just got even better. Just in time for summer, the beautiful retreat is now home to a brand-new contrast therapy spa, so you can expect infrared saunas, cold plunges and hammams, alongside exclusive treatments such as Reiki, acupuncture and hot-stone massages. BUY A pair of Sweaty Betty Power 6 Cycling Shorts. Not only is the weather getting better, but I’ve been feeling super inspired by the brand’s ‘Wear The Damn Shorts’ campaign to finally get my legs out when exercising – scars and all – and I hope other women feel the same way too! EAT At SINO (pronounced ‘see-no’), a new Ukrainian-inspired restaurant in Notting Hill that opens its doors this May. My tastebuds are already excited by the promise of dried grated mussels and bell pepper sauce – an elevated riff on a classic market favourite in Odesa. TRY Sound healing with Nancy Trueman at the True North studio in Soho. My sister has been badgering me to book in for a session and I can’t wait to hit reset with a healing-bowl experience after what has been a very busy few weeks. UPGRADE My watch game (or at least dream about it) courtesy of Chanel’s limited edition J12 collection in statement matte blue. From the diamond indicators to the beautiful weighting on your wrist, I’m totally in love. LISTEN To Sunday (1994) perform at Village Underground in Shoreditch. My family have quite the packed agenda for music nights in London this spring/summer – this being the first – and if you like alternative indie music, the band is definitely one to immediately add to your Spotify playlist.

BOOK Tennis season is in full swing again and I’m loving being back on the court (even if my backhand is somewhat rusty!). I’m so looking forward to watching some tennis that is considerably better than my own at HSBC Championships at The Queen’s Club next month. Tickets are still available but selling out fast! SING ALONG I’ll always be a Kylie fan (one of my first ever tapes was The Loco-Motion!) and I can’t wait to see her in concert later this month. Guaranteed to be a hilarious night out with my girlfriends, singing along to every track. WEAR I love fun trainers for summer and Hoff have such great colourways. I’ll be wearing this pair on repeat with my denim shorts and a simple T-shirt – my summer uniform. BUY Warm days mean al fresco dining. I’ll be updating my beach picnic kit with this stylish blanket, these gorgeous melamine plates, some fun plastic tumblers and cute paper napkins – all perfect for coastal living.

DO Aside from attending Citizen Femme’s highly-anticipated travel summit on the 15 May, I’m really looking forward to a family holiday at Peligoni at the end of the month to celebrate my parents’ 40th wedding anniversary. BOOK It’s a full family affair (12 of us in total!) and I can’t wait to spend quality time with my parents, siblings and nieces. We’ve booked Peligoni’s beautiful sailing boat ‘Odyssey’ for a special day at sea – we’ll hug the Zakynthian coastline, before dropping anchor to enjoy a lunch of fresh fish and swimming in the crystal-clear water. BUY My swimwear is in need of a serious overhaul, I’ve got my eye on this chic one-piece from sustainable swimwear brand Away That Day to take on my trip to Greece. TAKE CARE OF MYSELF I visited The Body Lab London in Kensington for my first-ever IV drip and NAD+4U injection via Body Brilliant. Their prescription-grade IV treatments are tailored to exactly what your body needs and deliver a dose of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants directly to your bloodstream. Feeling run down and on the brink of a full-blown cold (courtesy of my toddler), I can honestly say that it kept whatever was brewing at bay. It’s also a best-kept secret for combatting jet-lag. EAT I’m hoping to bag a table at The Fat Badger on Golborne Road; a gastropub from the team behind The Hero and The Pelican.

EAT There’s two restaurants on my list to try this month – Sale E Pepe, a Knightsbridge institution that’s been serving well-heeled locals elevated Italian treats since 1974 – and Town, the latest restaurant from chef Stevie Parle, formerly of Petersham Nurseries, Moro and The River Café. Town is focused on the best sustainable British produce, working closely with farmers to bring only the most delicious ingredients to the table. GO Rising artist Michaela Yearwood-Dan opens an exhibition at Hauser and Wirth in Mayfair on 13 May, showcasing her beautiful and vivid huge abstract paintings. I find her work mesmerising, and, as a working class Black woman, she’s fought harder than most for her place. Her exhibition will be unmissable. WATCH Everyone’s talking about the Disney+ series Dying For Sex, in which Michelle Williams plays the lead as the real life Molly Kochan, who – after being diagnosed with terminal breast cancer – goes on a journey to find great sex. I’ve been warned to watch armed with tissues. WEAR Knitwear might be a weird category to talk about in May, but I’m a big advocate of a slouchy cardigan to manage cooler spring evenings. It feels more relaxed than a jumper and easier to throw on: Navygrey’s modern classic style is perfect and made from Scottish-spun lamb’s wool so is great quality. I’m wearing mine over summer dresses and vests. VISIT I’m heading to Marrakech this month to visit Izza, one of its design-led hotels. The property hosts over 300 artworks so I’m looking forward to 48 hours of culture, sunshine and serious medina shopping.

STAY I just got back from a sunny weekend in Gothenburg, Sweden, with my boyfriend, and it was so needed. We stayed at the Clarion Hotel Draken, went to the spa at Jacy’z Hotel & Resort (which has the most beautiful rooftop pool with stunning views), and had dinner at Botánico. EAT If you’re looking for a restaurant that actually makes sense for warmer weather, Los Mochis rooftop in London City is it. Mexican-Japanese fusion with a view? Yes, please. TAKE A baking class at Bake with Maria in Golders Green. I’ve been loving slower, hands-on solo dates and this feels like such a wholesome way to spend a Saturday. BUY I’m a shades-and-flip-flops girl through and through. Now that the sun’s making an appearance, I’ve got my eye on these Heaven Mayhem ‘Sloane’ sunglasses. WEAR I rotate between my Havaianas and TKEES for that clean, minimal summer look. These are the most comfy and stylish flip-flops, and perfect for warm weather! WATCH I just binged the fifth (and final!) season of You on Netflix, and yes – I finished it in a day. No regrets. A chaotic, borderline-ridiculous story about a hopeless romantic serial killer that somehow still has people rooting for him. If you haven’t watched, be sure to add to your summer watchlist.

BEAUTY I am loving this moisturiser from Joonbyrd, who are all about skincare but for your body – and this cream comes with a whole host of benefits, plus it smells amazing. I love the packaging too, to liven up my bathroom shelves. TRY I can’t go out without brushing my brows and at the moment, I’m using this Brow 1980 Volumizing Pomade from Merit. I love the effect – it gives seriously plumped brows but without any crispiness. BUY I am a little too obsessed with all that Moda Operandi does but this set takes the biscuit – I must have it immediately. DO I have discovered Candlelight concerts and fallen in love. I would love to go to the Hans Zimmer one but need to find a suitable date. EAT At The Dover; I’ve been told multiple times I must go, so this month I’ll be making a booking.

ATTEND May is another very exciting month in the art world. Venice Biennale opens on the 10th, which alternates every year between art and architecture. This year it spotlights architecture, seeing over 750 designers create state-of-the-art installations around Venice’s beautiful buildings and network of canals. Keep an eye out for our guide. SHOP I have a wedding in Portugal coming up this month, and would love to buy a dress that I’ll also wear all summer. I have my eyes on this timeless Mazarin Dress in Camille Dot by Dôen. WANT I am obsessed with Discothèque’s perfumes which have replicated the intense scents of famous, old nightclubs. Musky, dark, and glittery all at once (if you can call a scent glittery!) I’m in love. READ I am loving Perfection by Vincenzo Latronico which has recently been shortlisted for the 2025 International Booker Prize. Set in Berlin in our modern age, it’s an eloquent and observational work on how it feels to live with social media, plus the language is beautiful which always makes me *very* happy. EAT London’s sunny weather has me dreaming of a summer afternoon stretched out under a striped parasol in the South of France. The closest I can get to it (well, the food anyway) on this side of the channel is Riviera London so I’ll be heading to one of their stylish white-clothed tables for the exquisite Riviera seabass and octopus chimichurri – and a bottle of rosé, naturally.
