With fun summer collaborations, new sandal launches (and the foot care we need before wearing them) plus plenty of flowers – this week is beginning to feel a lot like summer.
RHS Chelsea Flower Show starts this week, and with it it brings a whole host of floral-inspired festivities, including larger-than-life installations and fruity-floral scones. There’s also a new must-have jewellery collection collab and a pop-up foot spa – both helping make sure we’re summer ready from tip to toe. In search of sunshine? Visit this hotel just a one-hour flight from London. This is what we’re loving in this week’s Citizen Femme hotlist.
Nothing says summer quite like sipping on a glass of rosé poolside, and there’s perhaps no better place to do so this year than at Longueville Manor, a Relais & Chateaux hotel. Located on Jersey’s sunny southeast coast, this family-run hotel had a 2024 to remember; it celebrated 75 years and was awarded one Michelin Key by the Michelin Guide, recognising it as a “very special stay’. And a stay here is special, thanks to its size (just 29 rooms), friendly and knowledgeable staff (many of whom have been with the hotel for over 20 years) and its dining scene, which is among the best on the island. The Restaurant – split between the 15th-century Oak Room and a Garden Room – offers a fresh, seasonally inspired menu featuring Jersey Royals and scuba-dived scallops sourced by head chef Andrew Baird. Oh, then there’s the 5000-bottle-strong wine cellar, the 18-acres of gardens, the spa and wellness centre and the full-length swimming pool with sundeck. At just an hour’s flight from London, make this your first trip of the summer.
London’s favourite flower festival is back: the week-long Chelsea in Bloom 2025 begins today and is celebrating its 20th anniversary. This year’s theme – Flowers in Fashion – is designed to homage Chelsea as a fashion-forward destination with undeniable influence on British style, a place that has been a key hub for many-a-genre, stemming 1920s glamour, the self-expression of the swinging sixties, and the 1970s punk movement. More than 115 brands, businesses, hotels and restaurants – including RIXO, Anine Bing, Ganni, Pizza Pilgrims, Soho Home and 11 Cadogan Gardens, to name just a few – will take part this year, bringing the Chelsea streets to life through a series of large-scale floral installations. Look out for the giant punk’s head on King’s Road, welly boots at Sloane Square, and a handbag at Duke of York Square. Alongside all of this, there are plenty of events, tours, and pop-ups to explore, and many of the flowers used throughout the week will later be donated to Confetti Club, a not-for-profit creating petal confetti with profits given to Cancer Research UK.
Birkenstock’s three-strapped FLORIDA collection has just launched and, to celebrate, the much-loved footwear brand is hosting a one-month foot spa, just in time to buff and pamper your feet for summer. Held at their studio in Shoreditch and brought to life in partnership with the natural nail studio STILL London, visit for pedicures and massages using Birkenstock’s Care Essentials foot care products, and soundtracked to the Florida-cool-inspired playlist of music and culture specialist Alex Hislop. We can’t think of a better way to make sure your feet are beach or city ready – best shown off, of course, in a new pair of FLORIDAs, which start from £65 and come in a variety of colourways including black and white, but also eggshell, pure sage, a crocus purple, a high-shine ecru, and more.
They might not be the first brands that spring to mind for a collaboration, but Alighieri and J. Crew have teamed up to create a clever capsule collection that’s set to elevate our summer outfits. Easy to wear as the finishing touch to a summer-wedding look or to stack over bohemian-inspired beachy kaftans, medallions and nautical-feel necklaces feature Alighieri’s signature molten fish motif, cast in 24kt gold-plated bronze using the ancient practice of lost-wax casting. “Inspired by summer days on the water, I wanted this capsule to celebrate the magic of seaside adventures,” says Rosh Mahtani, founder and creative director of Alighieri. Each piece – including necklaces, earrings and the buttons that decorate a white linen shirt – has been crafted in London’s jewellery quarter, but embodies the essence of long, sunny days spent on the beach and warm al fresco dining on far-flung shores.
When The Savoy’s scone shop Scoff – dedicated solely to the crumbly British baked goods (is it bread or is it a cake?) – opened late last year, we were immediately obsessed. This traditional afternoon-tea staple is usually best dolloped with lashings of jam and cream. But at Scoff, things are done a little differently with flavours such as tiramisu, fruit punch and salted caramel shaking up the scone scene. This week, they launch a limited-edition flavour, inspired by the 2025 RHS Chelsea Flower Show, that fuses floral and fruity flavours using a raspberry compote and poached rhubarb. The Chelsea Flower Show Scoff scone is available for a week only – starting today – and is first come, first serve. Make sure you get your hands on one by being in line just in time – they’re brought out daily at 12:04pm.
