Looking for spring and summer plans in New York City? Let Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis be your guides.
The countdown starts now: And Just Like That season three is on the cusp of being released, starring three Sex and the City favourites (Carrie, Charlotte, and Miranda) joined by Seema Patel (Sarita Choudhury), Lisa Todd Wexley (Nicole Ari Parker) and Nya Wallace (Karen Pittman). It seems that the city-loving attitude and joy of being a woman of Sex and the City still rings true, as its popular sequel has been renewed for a third run. The season was filmed across New York City last summer, and picks up where season two leaves off: Aidan asks Carrie to wait five years before being with him, to allow time for his kids to grow up. If the trailer is anything to go by, season three looks packed with romantic moments, mistakes, and plenty of great conversations.

Season three will start on 29 May, with a new episode released every week until 14 August 2025. Here are some of our favourite filming locations to live the Sex and the City or And Just Like That life this spring and summer in New York.
Eat
Daniel: Upper East Side

Chef Daniel Boulud is a name known across the globe, whether you class yourself as an avid foodie or not. Less familiar with his classic French cuisine? Where better to indulge than at his flagship restaurant, Daniel in New York. The And Just Like That cast seem to agree, as Seema Patel (by Sarita Choudhury) and Zed (William Abadie) meet at one of the elegant white-clothed tables. Aside from the food menu and famous chef, Daniel is well-known for its wine cellar, so the wine list is definitely worth a peruse too.
La Mercerie

Come for lunch or dinner, and you’ll undoubtably bump into an A-lister at New York’s La Mercerie. The spot doubles as a furniture shop (you’ll find it inside of Roman and Williams Guild NY) and so it goes without saying that the light-flooded and fresh flower-filled interiors are reason alone to visit. The menu offers a clever modernisation of French fare, but you can also stop by for a coffee – like Carrie Bradshaw does with lover Aidan’s ex-wife.
Drink
The Mark Bar

The Mark: you’ll know this name as one of the most high-end, luxurious hotels in New York. A favourite amongst A-list guests who flock to the east coast capital for the annual Met Gala, The Mark is also home to a swanky bar by Jean-Georges where the sartorial crowds meet for an evening drink – or two – including broadcaster Lisa Todd Wexley and her husband in And Just Like That season two as they escape the kids for an evening. Settle into the interiors by Guy de Rougemont and Vladimir Kagan and order a drink, we recommend one from the Manhattan Collection if you’re really in that Upper East Side mood.
KYU: NoHo

The bright blue bar at KYU NoHo is a familiar spot for New Yorkers, and also Carrie Bradshaw and Seema Patel who meet here for drinks in And Just Like That. Stamped with the Bradshaw seal of approval, you can rest assured that you’re in for a treat here, especially with a cocktail menu that fuses clever mixology techniques with Asian flavours. The result: a shiso yuzu with a Thai chilli spice and a mezcal shishito negroni. If you’re stopping by, don’t leave without checking the menu of wood-fired grilling, for a fusion between American BBQ and Asian inspiration, including an excellent selection of bar snacks.
To Do
The Whitney Museum

Although The Met steps play a familiar role in Sex and the City, as well as the Met Ball episode of And Just Like That, The Whitney Museum is a great modern art museum that you’ll definitely want on your visit list, and another New York spot approved by Bradshaw herself, who visits the gallery and also wears a tote bag from the gallery shop in season two. Especially this spring, when the work of excellent American painter Amy Sherald: American Sublime is on view, featuring almost 50 of the artist’s large portraits spanning the likes of Michelle Obama and Breonna Taylor.
Governors Island

This 172-acre island just off Manhattan is easily accessible from the city by daily ferries, but feels like a world away. From here, find sweeping vistas overlooking New York’s dramatic skyline, including One World Trade Center, as well as out towards the Atlantic ocean. Meet a friend here – like Charlotte meets broadcaster Lisa in the upcoming season three – and enjoy everything this creative hub has to offer, from a newly open group show, markets, and great bars for a sundowner.
