The Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman Brings A Slice Of The Caribbean To London

On a sun-drenched evening in the heart of Kensington, Citizen Femme and The Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman brought a rare slice of the Caribbean to London.

Hosted within the iconic Winter Garden at Kensington Roof Gardens, one of the city’s most quietly spectacular private spaces, the evening welcomed eighteen of London’s most influential tastemakers, travel editors and beauty voices to a dinner that felt like a destination in itself. The space was transformed. A long, elegantly dressed table stretched the length of the room, adorned with lush tropical florals that mirrored the island’s native blooms, with a palette that drew directly from the Caribbean.

The evening was hosted by Cynthia Boyett of The Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman, alongside Sheena Bhattessa, Founder of Citizen Femme, two women who between them understand what it means to bring a destination to life in a room. Integral to the evening, and to the ethos of The Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman itself, was the presence of 111Skin, represented by the brand’s founder, Eva. The partnership between 111Skin and the property’s spa is one of the most compelling chapters in the Grand Cayman story: a world-class wellness experience anchored by one of London’s most respected skincare houses.

Before dessert arrived, the evening had succeeded, it had made everyone want to go in the personal way of a recommendation from a friend across a dinner table (the Citizen Femme way).

Guests left with a sense of the Grand Cayman that no brochure could convey, its warmth, its depth, its quiet confidence as one of the Caribbean’s most extraordinary properties. For guests discovering the property for the first time, it reframed what a resort spa can be.
