Things To Do With Children In June 2025: CE Team Recommends

Looking for things to do with children this June? This is what the Citizen Enfants team are loving this month.

As we look forward to the joy of summer with our children, June brings picnics in the park and sunny playdates. Team Citizen Enfants have children of all ages – ranging from newborns to toddlers and teenagers. So, while some of us are looking for handy kit for little ones, others have their eyes on the best things to do with toddlers, fun activities for older kids, or adventures for teens.

Including family fun-days in London, wonderful getaways in the UK and Europe, stylish buys (for kids and mums), plus great places to eat, play and hang out with your kids – no matter what age they are  – these are some of the best things to do with children this June.

USE Spectra Baby pumps: I am knee-deep in newborn baby mode, which means breastfeeding and this is my newest and most-used item. They are incredibly effective and the night light is useful for late-night expressing. AT SLEEPTIME both me and my newborn adore the Love To Dream swaddles which are made from beautiful soft materials. WATCH The new Peppa Meets the Baby Cinema Experience with my toddlers, which I know they are very excited about! EAT At Pastaio in Soho, a fabulous pasta spot for kids which is very child friendly, finished with Hackney gelato – happy children! GO To Chesterton’s Polo in the Park Family Day at Hurlingham Park in London on 8 June. Its a beautiful day out for the whole family and Sharky & George and TARKA will be there, providing plenty of activities for kids too.

STAY I’m off to various university open days with my eldest son – and taking the opportunity to stay in some nice hotels along the way. When we are in Bath we’ll stay at The Royal Crescent. BUY For super stylish kids’ swimwear I love Lison Paris who have such great prints and cute Hawaiian-style swim shorts. WEAR One of my favourite designers, Wiggy Kit for the various daytime events, like prize givings and sports day, coming up at my children’s schools. GIFT Father’s Day is just around the corner and I’m on the hunt for some cool presents for my boys to give my husband. I love the new Assouline book, Father and Child by photographer Claiborne Swanson Frank, with iconic images capturing modern fatherhood. BOOK A really exciting experience that older kids and teens will love: iFly indoor skydiving. EAT When we’re in London and need to grab a quick bite, I take my family to Seven Dials Food Market, they serve everything from burgers and pizzas to sushi and nachos – which keeps everyone happy.

BUY I’m eyeing up Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s collaboration with one of my favourite children’s Scandi brands, Konges Slød, for my son’s summer wardrobe. The seersucker stripes and playing card details are so sweet. I’m also a big fan of American Vintage for the softest sweatshirts, and their 20th anniversary collection has some great everyday tracksuits and T-shirts for kids. My toddler has been living in this cap. WEAR Summer is here, which means crocs are firmly back on my toddler’s feet. I never thought I’d succumb to crocs, but I’m a total convert. They really are the most practical and brilliant shoes for little ones – and they particularly came into their own whilst in the throes of potty-training! DO We’re lucky to live right next to a really peaceful part of the River Thames, that happens to be an ideal spot for paddle boarding. The Red Paddle Co have an XL inflatable SUP that’s large enough for the whole family to use at the same time, something I can’t wait to try with my son when he’s a bit older. TRY Merit The Uniform is my latest beauty find and I’m hooked. I’ll be swapping out a heavier coverage foundation in place of this sheer tinted SPF 50. BOOK The Peligoni Club! I’ve just returned from the best family holiday in Greece and already want to go back!

GO Lambeth Country Show (on 7 and 8 June this year) has become a family ritual. Every June, we head to Brockwell Park for the two-day weekend festival, where sheep shearing, jousting and vegetable and flower competitions combine with live music from the diverse local community. It’s a free event and so much fun. LISTEN Ever since watching Netflix’s searing series Adolescence, I have become obsessed by Joeli Brearley’s new podcast To Be A Boy, in which she interviews industry leaders about how to raise well-adjusted, well-rounded and happy boys. It’s informed and insightful, but also accessible and easy to learn from. READ We are in peak toddler tantrum stage, so I’ve invested in a beautiful-looking book called Feelings by Libby Walden, which explores the impact of our emotions through truly evocative illustrations. I’m not sure it will have the desired mediative effect on the tantrums, but it’ll help him start to learn about why we feel the way we do at certain moments. WEAR Motherhood really helps you appreciate the power of a do-all accessory, to elevate an outfit in a really easy way. Enter the neckerchief-cum-headscarf. They can be tied around the neck in a jaunty Audrey Hepburn way, or around a ponytail for a low-key accent to your outfit. I love this linen style from Arkitaip’s collaboration with jewellery brand Daisy. VISIT We’re heading to North Berwick for a family holiday, and I can’t recommend it more if you’re travelling with children. The beaches are beautiful (there’s also an outdoor, shallow tidal pool for little ones), and the town is home to a great gelato parlour and bakery. You can also take boat tours to see the surrounding wildlife, including the incredible Bass Rock gannet colony, which David Attenborough called one of the wonders of the world.

BUY Our school shoes only come from Papouelli: they’re durable and very cute – plus I love their stores in Parsons Green and Elizabeth Street. We love this cute little patent pair. I’m getting my ducks in a row and buying them early this year! SWIM I discovered the brand Petit Playa and I am in love – how cute are these matching sets for summer? Such a nice sun-safe option. DO My eldest daughter has become obsessed with picking up the rubbish in Battersea Park ever since I got her this litter picker! I’m so proud of her for being so eco conscious. TRAVEL I’m booking a staycation with the girls at Chewton Glen, one of my favourite hotels in Hampshire and perfect for children. I’d love to stay in one of their tree houses which are chic and comfortable, but also such a fun adventure for kids. PLAY I’m getting my daughters into tennis from a young age as it’s a sport I’ve always loved, and I have my eye on this cute tennis set. Tres chic for their matches during the upcoming school holidays.
