Beaverbrook’s beloved Reach For The Sky hot air balloon dining experience is back this year but this time, it’s not just staying grounded in Surrey. The whimsical alfresco event, complete with six glorious ruby-and-rose-striped hot air balloons in the estate’s picturesque grounds, is designed in collaboration with the stylish Summerill & Bishop, each balloon complete with authentic wicker baskets and dreamy tablescapes that seats up to four. The balloons frame The Italian Garden at The House offering alfresco Japanese dining. The journey begins with an amuse bouche of crispy seaweed spiced with shichimi togarashi and Japanese mineral salt, before an array of sushi and sashimi arrives, including 10-day dry-aged O-toro Bluefin Tuna, cold water Hokkaido scallop and wild Alaskan prawn. For a magnificent finale to the menu, Beaverbrook offers an aptly named pudding called The Clouds featuring wild strawberry ice cream, notes of pistachio and cotton candy. Plus, for the first time since the experience launched five years ago, the iconic balloon dining pods are leaving the Surrey hills and heading to Royal Ascot from Tuesday 17th – Saturday 21st June.
