This week, the season of escape takes on a refined edge with a curated collection of must-know launches and experiences. From the tongue-in-cheek charm of the Smythson x Thomas Lélu capsule to the highly anticipated opening of Aman Rosa Alpina in the heart of the Dolomites, consider this your edit for a last week of July well spent.
In London, culinary highlights include a rare one-night Japanese dining immersion, Kat Burki brings its science-led skincare expertise to haircare, and one of my favourite London restaurants celebrates summer the Italian way. This is what we’re loving in this week’s Citizen Femme hotlist.
Tucked away in the storybook village of San Cassiano, Aman Rosa Alpina opens, bringing discreet luxury – what the Aman does best – to the untamed beauty of the Italian Dolomites. This alpine retreat balances heritage charm with Aman’s signature serenity, from Michelin-starred dining to ski-in, ski-out adventures. The outdoors anchors every space here, with rooms featuring expansive balconies and floor to ceiling windows overlooking the impressive landscape. Dining is central to the experience with five separate spaces from The Grill, at the centre of the hotel’s food offering, to Akari, a Japanese shabu shabu (hot pot) dining experience. You can be confident that wellness exceeds expectations with the Aman – the 1684 square metre spa comprises seven treatement suites, a 20 metre heated outdoor infinity pool, an indoor swimming pool, a family pool, hydrotherapy facilities including a Finnihs sauna, steam bath, Jacuzzi and a cold plunge pool. Not to mention, the hair salon, medical treatment rooms and Zen garden. This is an invitation to slow down, breathe deeply, and savour the art of mountain living.
As part of the Michelin Series: City, Country, Coast, Sushi Kanesaka at 45 Park Lane welcomes Michelin-starred seafood maestro Nathan Outlaw for the final part of this one-night omakase experience tomorrow, Tuesday 29th July. Celebrating Cornwall’s coastal bounty, Outlaw will bring his signature focus on seasonal, sustainable seafood to the 13-seat counter, blended with the precision and simplicity of traditional Edomae sushi. Hidden behind a speakeasy-style secret door, the exclusive restaurant is led by legendary sushi master Shinji Kanesaka, holding two Michelin stars and renowned for his meticulous technique, reverence for tradition, and for bringing authentic slice of Japan to London – without needing to hop on a plane. The collaboration promises a rare meeting of minds between two culinary philosophies – where British coastal flavours meets the refined artistry of Tokyo-style sushi at one of London’s most revered counters. Be warned; it’s so good that sushi as you knew it will never be the same again…
Farringdon’s finest, LUCA, is ushering in the season with its Italian Summer Celebrations, launching this week. The Michelin-starred modern Italian restaurant pays tribute to the cherished tradition of Ferragosto with a limited-edition four-course Chef’s Menu, available exclusively on LUCA’s sun-drenched terrace from 1st to 31st August—with reservations now open. Rooted in Sicilian influences, the menu showcases the best of the season’s ingredients and draws inspiration from Those Who Stay and Those Who Leave, a powerful exhibition of summer photography in Sicily by Michele Iacobini, currently on display within the restaurant. To accompany the celebration, LUCA has also unveiled a limited-edition summer capsule collection—a curated set of elevated essentials perfect for any Mediterranean escape. The collection includes an oversized navy cotton beach bag boldly printed with “Andiamo!” (“Let’s go!”), along with a custom deck of playing cards featuring Iacobini’s evocative imagery.
Kat Burki Skincare, the science-driven luxury brand celebrated for its biochemistry-based formulations, makes its debut in haircare with the launch of the Health & Vitality Collection. Staying true to the clinical precision that defines its skincare, the new collection is designed to support hair health from the root—powered by the brand’s proprietary Nutrient Delivery System (NDS™), advanced scalp bio-fermentation, and targeted vitamin therapy. Leading the collection is the best-selling Bio-Ferment Scalp & Hair Treatment, now joined by the Bio-Ferment Renewing Shampoo and Conditioner. Together, these formulas deliver visible results in as little as 12 weeks, addressing all three phases of the hair growth cycle for fuller, stronger, healthier-looking hair. Just in time for summer, the collection is designed to help reveal your fullest, most natural hair—vibrant and effortlessly radiant.
Add a playful twist to your travels this summer with the exclusive Smythson x Thomas Lélu capsule collection. Known for his sharp wit and contemporary art, Lélu brings his signature humor to Smythson’s timeless craftsmanship in this limited-edition edit—designed to inspire escapism with a wink. The collection features three travel-ready essentials reimagined in a sleek black colourway: a Luggage Tag, Passport Cover, and the iconic Chelsea Notebook. Each piece is emblazoned with the tongue-in-cheek mantra: “To Do List: 1) Learn to Fly 2) Fly Away”—a whimsical nod to the spontaneous spirit of summer getaways. Whether you’re jet-setting across continents or simply dreaming of your next escape, this collaboration brings a lighthearted luxury to every journey.
