In this episode, we speak to jewellery designer and founder of her eponymous fine jewellery brand, Noor Fares, who was born in Lebanon but grew up in the “open air museum” that is Paris. From early on in her childhood, this immersion in new places and cultures quickly became an infatuation, one that still inspires her designs today.
Here, Noor Fares discusses her life on the road, where travel became one of her greatest forms of education. Now, these places – from temples to monuments to historic cities – have quickly become inspirations for her jewellery designs, carved into precious gemstones and metals.
From studying gemmology in America and exploring design at London’s Central St Martins, to living immersed in nature and Noor’s current inspirations, we spoke about it all.
