With private pools, personalised service and direct access to the beach, Bayou Villas is more than a place to stay; it’s a chance to truly unwind, indulge and experience the quieter, more refined side of the Turkish Riviera.
Part of the Lara Barut Collection, this all-inclusive resort features high-end private villas with a vast variety of in-room amenities, including a spa and wellness centre, a fitness centre, private saltwater pools, and a premium personalised 24-hour butler service.Â
On Turkey’s sun-drenched Mediterranean coast, Bayou Villas blends sleek, contemporary design with the warm charm of Turkish hospitality. In addition to the above-and-beyond in-villa amenities, a daily Swinging Sultan cocktail (otherwise known as the Turkish Cosmopolitan) is offered to all guests, as well as a personalised Turkish hammam, and live entertainment and experiences – like the traditional coffee-making session.
The Vibe
While top-tier amenities and service come as standard here, they come with a relaxed feel. The resort features 24 villas scattered within a beautiful Mediterranean landscape and is surrounded by lush, tall, manicured foliage that guarantees privacy. It also makes the most of its stunning surrounds – with chairs swinging underneath trees, ample sun loungers, and even an outside desk for afternoons working al fresco.
The Villas

This 25,000-square-metre estate houses 24 villas, spanning sizeable one-bedroom and four-bedroom options – the smallest is 246-square-metres, and the largest 983. Each villa features its own private garden, dual swimming pools (one is a heated freshwater pool, ideal for those like myself who have an allergy to chlorine), plus expansive terraces, a chic lounge, and dining areas with pool views.Â
Each residence is thoughtfully kitted out with fully equipped kitchens too, making meals a pleasure to prepare. Smart home features – ranging from Bang & Olufsen sound systems to motorised curtains – create a seamless, modern living experience while the spacious dressing rooms and elegant living areas add to the sense of quiet grandeur.Â

In the three- and four-bedroom villas, luxury takes on an even more extravagant form with private spa rooms, Turkish baths, saunas, and in some cases, personal gyms, billiard tables and grand pianos. Nespresso machines, laundry facilities, and a selection of deluxe bath amenities offer an elevated version of everyday comfort, with every detail carefully designed to turn your stay into a sanctuary.
The Food + Drink
Whether you’re nibbling on crispy mücver and stuffed zucchini flowers at Tirmis, grabbing sushi at Iro, or treating yourself to something sweet from the patisserie, every bite at Bayou Villas is meant to be savoured, an easy task to accomplish due to the incredible quality of both traditional Turkish and continental dishes.
At the heart of the resort lies the Weik A’La Carte Restaurant serving artfully presented Turkish and international cuisine – including their signature walnut, blue cheese, pear and radicchio salad followed by gorgeously cooked sea bass, rounded off with a stunning tiramisu. Complementing this is Bayou Bar, where award-winning mixologists shake speciality cocktails and mocktails, served alongside an extensive wine list. Bayou Villas Lounge is open throughout the day and evening, offering snacks, coffee and drinks.
Accessibility
All villas have been thoughtfully designed with accessibility in mind, with some featuring a private elevator that spans three floors, step-free entrances, wide doorways and spacious interiors that allow for easy mobility. Bathrooms are equipped with support rails and walk-in showers to enhance safety and convenience. The resort grounds are also wheelchair friendly, with smooth pathways, ramps, and buggy transport available on request.
The Little Extras
Service here goes above and beyond, but it’s no little extra, it forms a core part of the curated experience. The personalised butler service is second-to-none and there are thoughtful touches in the bedroom, like complimentary celebratory birthday cakes for those celebrating, plenty of welcome refreshments, chocolates and biscuits that are restocked throughout the stay, and – perhaps best of all – dedicated, round-the-clock room service courtesy of a guest assistant.
The addition of a billiards table and grand piano in the living room is a lovely touch for those who wish to entertain during their stay and, to help with this, you’ll find a fridge stocked with juices, water, and other soft drinks. Last but not least, I loved being able to connect my music to the outdoor speakers and listen to music as I ate breakfast and did some work.Â
The To-Do List
If you can pull yourself away from the hotel, the resort can arrange private boat tours to the Düden Waterfalls, as well as tours of Antalya’s Old Town. While here be sure to visit the historic (almost 2000-year-old) Hadrian’s Gate; Kaleici Panoramic Elevator, with stunning views of the harbour and the Mediterranean sea; plus local bazars and galleries showcasing contemporary Turkish art – Gülden Bostanci gallery is a good place to spend an hour or two.Â
If you don’t want to leave, that’s perfectly acceptable too, and whether you’re craving relaxation, wellness, cultural immersion or active play, Bayou Villas offers a diverse mix of activities to keep you busy. As well as access to the private beach pavilion, guests staying in a two-, three- or four-bedroom villa have a Turkish bath located within the sauna and steam rooms in their basement.
There’s yoga sessions that take place in-villa, facing the pool; stargazing evenings; plus candle-making classes and lantern-making workshops if you’re feeling creative. For a taste of local culture and heritage, book an olive-oil tasting session – I left my stay with a couple of bottles in my suitcase – or go mandarin picking, wine-tasting or carpet weaving.
