Why Pandora's Talisman Collection Will Be Everywhere This London Fashion Week

Charms have always been a form of personal storytelling, a way of sharing our experiences and loves with the world.

They quietly reveal details about what matters to us, the places we’ve been or the symbols that have meaning, which is why Pandora’s new Talisman collection is expected to be a breakout hit this London Fashion Week. Great design that speaks to our personal identity has always been a powerful combination.

Inspired by ancient coins, the new line is an extension of its signature charms, but with a luxury twist. The 12 designs each come engraved with Latin inscriptions such as amor vincit omnia, (love conquers all) or per aspera ad astra, (through hardships to the stars). Another, depicting two cupids embracing, is inscribed with amor fati (Love of Fate), a stoic reminder to make the best of whatever life throws our way. If you’re looking to start the new season with a more positive, philosophical outlook, this is a great place to start. The meaningful intricate carvings give them an artisanal aesthetic that adds to the elevated finish.

Every medallion features a meaningful carving, for example arrows to denote hope, resilience and growth, which creates an artisanal feel. Part of the collection’s appeal is its ability to reflect the wearer’s individuality. They can be worn on necklaces, bracelets, earrings or belt chains, or as part of a chunky chain set, giving them added versatility, but also personality. The collection is made using sterling silver, 14k gold plating and mixed metal finishes, depending on your personal sensibility.

Pandora Talisman is more than a new collection, it’s a new way to connect, reflect and express,” say A. Filippo Ficarelli and Francesco Terzo, Pandora SVP Creative Directors. “They are carriers of memory, reflections of self and gentle reminders that meaning is something we make our own.”

The Talisman line is the latest in Pandora’s journey in becoming one of the most foremost, accessible global jewellery brands. Having started as a small boutique in Copenhagen more than 40 years ago, it has become known for its commitment to sustainability, using only recycled silver and gold, and pledge to halve greenhouse gas emissions across its value chain by 2030.

Its timeless, adaptable designs have become a fast favourite among not just celebrities (Pamela Anderson and Tyla are among its brand ambassadors), but also the style set. At Copenhagen Fashion Week this summer, editors, creatives and stylists, such as Julia Sokele and Federica Labanca, were all spotted wearing Pandora jewellery. As London Fashion Week begins this week, the sophisticated Talisman collection will no doubt be worn on repeat.
