EAT THIS DabbaDrop x Jasmine Hemsley

On evenings when you don’t feel like cooking, but also don’t want to order in, London has a fresh alternative (in both style and taste). Enter: DabbaDrop. Founded by Renee Williams and Anshu Ahuja in 2018, the concept takes inspiration from Mumbai’s age-old but ingenious dabbawalla network – whereby thousands of freshly cooked, homemade meals are delivered to offices and houses across the city each day. Incredibly easy to use, order online and Dabbadrop delivers plant-based, vegan dabbas (the Hindi word for container, also known as a tiffin) to your door. This week they’ve teamed up with Jasmine Hemsley, wellbeing and nutrition expert, chef and author of the East by West cookbook full of simple ayurvedic recipes. Dabbadrop x Jasmine Hemsley is available for delivery on 21, 22 and 23 January. Expect light, tasty dishes – tamarind, parsnip and kale curry; a lemony dal; ajwain butternut subzi; basmati rice – delivered to your door. Each dabba serves two.

SLEEP WITH THESE Overnight oiling

Winter time can mean dry hair and dry skin. A great way to resolve this is with beloved beauty ritual overnight oiling. For deep-conditioning and restorative powers, it may seem obvious but using the right ingredients, letting nutrient-rich oils penetrate skin and hair while you sleep allows skin and strands to become softer and more radiant by morning. For the body, Jones Road Body Oil delivers a silky, nourishing blend that absorbs effortlessly to lock in hydration and enhance your skin’s natural glow after a long day. Pair that with Hair by Sam McKnight Pure Genius Scalp Restoring Oil, a pre-wash treatment rich in botanical oils and antioxidants that helps balance, soothe and moisturise the scalp. Together, these oils showcase how overnight or extended oiling can transform dry, tired skin and hair into hydrated, revitalised results. Proof that sometimes, the most effective beauty treatments happen while you sleep.

WATCH THIS Hamnet

If there’s one thing you should make time for this week, let it be Hamnet. Quietly powerful and exquisitely restrained, Oscar-winning director Chloé Zhao’s production transforms Maggie O’Farrell’s novel into something deeply intimate, capturing grief not as spectacle but as something lived, in glances, silences and the weight of what’s left unsaid. It centres on Agnes’s grief as she loses her 11 year old son, Hamnet, to the plague, capturing her connection to nature, and the strained relationship with her husband as he pursues his career in London, reimagining a largely unknown part of Shakespeare’s life through a mother’s heartbreak. Starring Paul Mescal and Jessie Buckley, it is already one of the most talked-about films of the year, and is little wonder it became a standout during awards season. Hamnet doesn’t just tell a story of loss; it invites you to sit with it, making for a profoundly moving experience that stays with you long after the final scene.

BOOK THIS Le Cordon Bleu

Le Cordon Bleu London has just unveiled an exciting lineup of new plant-based Cordon Vert cooking courses for 2026, perfect if you’re looking to sharpen your culinary skills with a modern, flavour-forward twist. Running throughout the year at their Bloomsbury and Fleet Street campuses, the programme brings classical technique to plant-based cuisine and pâtisserie, with hands-on short courses including workshops on creative vegetables, wholesome grains, gluten-free baking, nougatine and chocolate tarts, plant-based macarons and more, plus a Bake & Dine breakfast baking experience, all designed for both passionate home cooks and aspiring professionals.
