Things To Do In April 2026: What The CF Team Are Loving

April is one of the good months, a time when spring finally seems to feel tangible after the long, dark winter. London’s rooftop terraces start to reopen, weekends in Europe are back on the calendar, and brighter-day clothes shopping begins. This is everything the CF team are doing this April.

With the warmer weather comes a new burst of optimism – and lots of things to do. This April, we’ve booked trips to Greece, Spain, LA and Orlando; we’re dining al fresco and celebrating the now not-so-humble pizza crust (yes, really); we’re honouring live performance at jazz festivals and stage shows; and we’ll be doing it all in style, with new spring-worthy purchases from some of our favourite brands including Matteau, Alemais and Sézane.

These are some of the best things to see, buy, eat and do in April 2026.

WEAR With the sun shining, I have all sorts in my shopping basket, ready to check out! Johanna Ortiz’s linka printed shorts and top, this gorgeous ERES swimsuit for my upcoming Orlando getaway and the throw-on Matteau linen blend maxi dress. SEE I’m looking forward to seeing Rebecca Lucy Taylor in Teeth ‘n’ Smiles, David Hare’s classic 1975 play about Maggie Frisbee, an embittered, alcoholic raging rock star. EAT A forever fan of people watching, I’ll be grabbing a table on Automat’s outdoor seating, watching Mount Street go by. READ The brilliant Juliet Kinsman recommended the bookCitizens: Why the Key to Fixing Everything is All of Us by Jon Alexander, so it’s ordered and on my April reading list. INVEST IN Given my new fitness obsession, padel, this is on my April birthday wishlist.

TRAVEL Back to Greece, the country I called home for many years. This time it’s to visit Costa Navarino in the Peloponnese. The area will hit cinema screens in July: Christopher Nolan’s next movie The Odyssey – starring Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Zendaya and Anne Hathaway – was part shot here. STAY At The Romanos, a Luxury Collection Resort, a hotel I’ve heard a lot of good things about. I can’t wait to experience it for myself. CELEBRATE My birthday, and I’m thinking something low-key. Perhaps a small dinner at one of London’s best new restaurants. BUY A new necklace, and I love this white gold and diamond pendant by Beaverbrooks. It is birthday season, after all – and my birthstone is diamond. It would be rude not to… right? WEAR Spring appropriate shoes (I’ll be so pleased to get out of boots!) and I love these Mary Janes by Sézane, and these by Le Monde Béryl. GIG-HOP At Brick Lane Jazz Festival, a four-day event (23 – 26 April) with a long line-up list including Nídia & Valentina, Joe Armon-Jones, Tawiah, Kyra, ZENA – and many (many) more.

STAY At The Zetter Bloomsbury, which has just opened its doors in London, directly opposite the British Museum. The 68-bedroom boutique hotel has Georgian-inspired interiors and looks set to be a foodie hotspot too, with a classic afternoon tea and a summer BBQ area for when the sun finally shines. WATCH Hold The Line, a limited run play at The Hope Theatre in Islington, inspired by real experiences on the NHS 111 frontline. It’s emotive and funny in equal measure – the sort of theatre that really stays with you. BUY Anew pair of trainers after I run the London Marathon this month (my current ones are a little worse for wear after so many miles). I’ve got my eye on the new Asics Superblast 3 with FF Leap Foam Technology; light and bouncy, they could be the ticket to my next PB. STYLE My hair – and add a mood boost to my haircare routine – with the limited edition Jelly Collection from GHD. The candy coated colourway of the GHD Chronos Curve Max Wand in Candy Coral is the inspiration I need to pick up a tong and try some new styles before summer comes. DRINK Hip Pop’s functional soda and kombucha, especially the limited edition gut-friendly Yellow Sun Lemonade. They are health drinks that actually taste good (so much so my mum has been stealing them off me!). TRAVEL With a July suitcase. I’ve fallen in love with the Australian brand’s colourful designs, especially as the new CaseSafe built-in tracking system is designed to help you locate your suitcase quickly and securely, decreasing my anxiety that I’ll lose my case (again).

VISIT I’ll be dreaming of pink sands and conch fritters until I see them in the flesh on my first trip to The Bahamas. The colours, the interiors and the hotels feel storied – and so unlike anywhere we’ve been before. The recently reimagined The Potlatch Club in Eleuthera, for example, was where Paul and Linda McCartney honeymooned in 1969 and today you’ll find The Beatles’ song lyrics from their stay, scrawled on old hotel stationary and framed on the walls. BUY Anything from Alémais for summer gets my vote. I lived in one of their silk trouser co-ords last year, perfect for feeling put-together but still seriously comfortable, and this summer I’m eyeing up anything-and-everything from their artist collaboration with LRNCE. EAT At The Dover in Mayfair, the restaurant that seems to be on everyone’s lips right now. And while it’s not new, I’m still also desperate to tick off Dorian in Notting Hill. Both are high up on my date-night list. BOOK In the quest for a summer glow, I’ll be booking into Bamford Wellness Spa in Brompton Cross to try their newly launched SkinPen facial, using a medical-grade micro-needling device that I’m hoping will get to work on stubborn hormonal acne scarring.

VISIT The Fashion and Textiles Museum has just opened an eye-poppingly colourful new exhibition, dedicated to the upbeat textiles of Susan Collier and Sarah Campbell. Vibrant and mood-boosting, it looks to have strong spring energy. BUY I have recently discovered sustainably-minded brand Bar Jewellery, and was kindly gifted one of its beautiful bow bracelets. Each piece is ethically made by artisans with recycled materials, resulting in understated, elegant and delicate designs that I love. One to add to any birthday wish list (or just as a treat to yourself). WATCH I’m looking forward to seeing Zendaya and Robert Pattison’s new film, The Drama, a dark romcom about a couple whose engagement takes a twist after they reveal to each other ‘the worst thing I have ever done’. DRINK I’ll be returning to the The Egerton House Hotel’s excellent Martini Bar in the next few weeks. I discovered its Martinis only recently, and truly they are the best I’ve had in London, a claim that I don’t make lightly. Only a few minutes from the V&A and set in a beautiful traditional hotel, the bar is an intimate space with excellent staff who really know their stuff.

STAY At Escapade Silverstone. My boyfriend is a bit of a motorsport fan, so he’s booked us a staycation at one of their private countryside residences. It’s very him, but I’m not mad at it. A weekend away with nothing to do but relax is always nice. WEAR This butter yellow dress from Reformation. My family goes all out for holidays, and this Easter Sunday the dress code is spring neutrals and pastels. This feels like the perfect piece and very on theme. BUY The Puma Speedcat Ballet Sneakers. I’m obsessed with this hybrid of Mary Janes and sneakers – they’re such a fun take on everyday footwear. I’m torn between the pink and brown, both are so good. EAT At Pizza Pilgrims, who are teaming up with Dishoom, Honest Burgers, Pho and Sweet Dee’s Jerk for The Great British Crust Comeback. It’s a limited-edition dipping menu, designed to make crusts the best part of the plate (as they should be). Think chilli chutney, rosemary chips dip, peanut sauce and jerk BBQ. Fun, nostalgic, and for a good cause too with proceeds supporting World Wish Month. DO A cute and creative workshop with Daisy Lilly. They’re always hosting fun pop-ups, and this month’s Beading & Boozing evenings sound perfect: making your own jewellery while having a drink and catching up with friends.

VISIT Barcelona to see one of my best friends over the bank holiday. EXPLORE The city’s Montjuïc neighbourhood. Surprisingly, a first for me despite many trips to Barcelona. We’ll take the scenic route through the botanical gardens and up towards the Castell de Montjuïc then spend the afternoon in the Joan Miró Museum. EAT At Bar Cañete, tucked just off La Rambla. It’s known for some of the best local food in Barcelona, with a focus on seafood, tapas and delicious wines. TRAVEL To Los Angeles on a work trip. The itinerary is a fun one! STAY At Dream Hollywood, right in the heart of West Hollywood. WATCH my first ever LA Dodgers game – a real bucket-list LA experience. HIKE Up to the iconic Hollywood sign, another LA classic. BOOK A table at new restaurant Taverna Ermou (once I’m finally back in London). It’s a much-loved cult Athenian restaurant that has found a new home in Marylebone.

LISTEN To multi-instrumentalist Jordan Rakei, who has a new collaborative EP Between Us coming out on 24 April. I’ll be listening to it from start to finish on Qobuz for the real-deal listening experience. EAT Camberwell’s cult sandwich brand, Mondo, will be opening a new branch in Deptford this month, so I will definitely be paying a visit before the queues inevitably commence. The Culpeper’s gorgeous rooftop restaurant reopens on 17 April (same day as the Aries new moon!). It’s one of my favourite pubs that’s well worth the trek from south to east London. I’m also very intrigued by their new “planetary herbalism” cocktail menu, inspired by Nicholas Culpeper’s work as a herbalist and astrologer. VISIT The Beaverbrook Town House in Sloane Square is celebrating cherry-blossom season in style, and I’m keen to try out their new floral-themed cocktails at Sir Frank’s Bar. Japan is a major bucket list destination for me, so it’ll be a way to celebrate sakura season from London – with a bit of Lord Beaverbrook’s flamboyance thrown in. TASTE I’m back in my bougie hot chocolate era and look forward to trialling a selection of flavours by Islands Chocolate. I’m really drawn to the story behind the brand, who source their cacao responsibly from family farms in Saint Vincent.
