I have always been a committed swimsuit fan. To me, they have a practicality that makes enjoying myself on the beach easier. They tend to hold their shape well, and seem more resistant to – that least attractive of words – sagging. I have nothing against the bikini, and I love them for anyone who feels great in them, but I will always veer towards the restrained ease of a one-piece. Here, I’ve found the 15 best styles this summer, from the skimpy to the supportive.Â

If you’re looking for budget-friendly options, I love M&S’ floral broderie one-piece, which looks much more expensive than it is, and Next’s feminine polka-dot design, which will look great with your denim shorts.
