This Week CF Loves: 25.05.26

Summer has arrived, and with it, the collective urge to do everything and go everywhere at once.

This week’s CF Loves is your edit of the best the season has to offer: from seersucker co-ords that pack themselves to a five-star Burgundy château that opened its doors just in time, the chicest new cooler on the market, and the London evenings worth staying out for. There’s enough London plans to fill your summer before it slips away.

BBQ HERE The Broadcaster Rooftop

White City just got considerably more delicious. The Broadcaster’s new rooftop BBQ Summer Series has kicked off with Argentine chef Matias Casotto, whose open-fire Asado-style cooking will be front and centre against a backdrop of the West London skyline and the iconic Television Centre below. Running 12pm–5pm on the fourth-floor rooftop, the all-you-can-eat feast (£35pp) spans Picaña beef rump cap, slow-cooked Bondiola pork collar, Pollo a la Napolitana, chimichurri everything, and – if you know what’s good for you – a Panqueque con Dulce de Leche to finish (£5 extra, entirely worth it). Cocktails come courtesy of a collaboration with Windrush 1027 rum. Relaxed yet scenic: the ideal Sunday.

PICNIC WITH THIS FIELDBAR Mini Bar

FIELDBAR, the handcrafted cooler brand that quietly became the outdoor accessory of the style set last summer, is back with its most covetable drop yet. The Mini Bar (£159) is its smallest design to date, pre-launching exclusively with Harrods (with next-day delivery, no less), and it is, quite frankly, adorable. Think beach bags, train journeys, impromptu park rosé, anywhere a full-sized cooler would be overkill but warm drinks remain non-negotiable. If you’re hosting al fresco this coming week or weekend, step up to the Drinks Box (£199) or the rather magnificent Gin Trunk (£359), both built to accommodate serious quantities of ice, bottles, and cocktail ambition.

ENJOY ROME IN LONDON HERE Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel: The Exhibition

Rome has come to us! Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel: The Exhibition brings all 34 of the master’s most celebrated frescoes to life at full scale, including a dedicated, dramatically rendered section inspired by The Last Judgment that hits rather harder than you might expect. Whether you’re a seasoned art lover or someone who last studied the Sistine Chapel in a Year 9 textbook, this limited-run immersive storytelling, makes this experience accessible and incredibly moving, offering insight into Michelangelo’s techniques, symbolism, and the extraordinary legacy of his work.

BUY THIS SUMMER WARDROBE STAPLE WNU's Seersucker Collection

Whether you’re dashing to the airport or simply refusing to iron anything until September, WNU’s new seersucker range is the answer. The textured, crinkle-ready fabric practically packs itself, and in this heat, the breezy, lightweight weave feels less like a wardrobe choice and more like a public service. Back in stock and better than ever, the Weekend Shirts and Boxer Shorts arrive in a sun-drenched lineup of stripes, neutral mocha, rain blue, pink, berry, and the most joyful yellow, worn as a co-ord or cheerfully mismatched for maximum summer energy. New to the range, the Weekend Shirt in pink and multi patchwork brings a playful edge to the season’s staple silhouette, while the plain navy and white seersucker versions are cool, classic, and quietly excellent. And if you need a trouser moment: the Rampling Trousers land in a brand new mocha stripe this summer. Wear head-to-toe with the matching shirt for cool city chic, thrown over linen for lazy lunches, or with a simple tee at the weekend.

BOOK A SUMMER ESCAPE HERE Château la Commaraine, Pommard

If your idea of a perfect summer escape involves waking up inside a UNESCO-listed vineyard with a glass of Burgundy already justified before noon, Château la Commaraine has just opened its doors. Freshly emerged from a five-year renovation, this five-star vineyard hotel in Pommard, minutes from Beaune, carries a history dating back to 1112 and counted Thomas Jefferson among its early admirers (124 bottles ordered in 1787, a very solid review). Sensitively restored across 37 rooms and suites, the property blends traditional Burgundian stonework with refined contemporary interiors. Eat in the 14th-century tower bar overlooking the vines or at Le Clos bistro, both overseen by Meilleur Ouvrier de France Christophe Raoux, with a vaulted-cellar fine dining room, Le VIII, opening early next month. Beyond the heated pool, spa, and panoramic terraces, expect private tastings, vineyard cycling, and sunrise hot air balloon flights over the vines. Its the kind of trip that makes everywhere else feel slightly ordinary by comparison.
