For a vivid taste of Mexico in London, look to Cavita, a playful, stylish dining room where electric energy, rich culture and seriously good food draw a crowd that comes back again and again. Founded by chef Adriana Cavita, it is inspired by her childhood near Mexico City: fresh seafood, street-style tacos, inventive sharing plates and standout dishes like the Tostada De Temporada (seasonal fruit ceviche with pomegranate, avocado and black Yucatán sauce) and the Hamachi Tostada (yellowtail sashimi, soy-ginger vinaigrette, avocado), all built on handmade tortillas. But the real showstopper might just be the spicy margarita: hands down the best we’ve had in London yet, with the perfect balance of heat, citrus and bite.
