The Fancy Vegan Guide to LA

Get your vegan on by trying out some of these delicious restaurants around town.  From a girls night out to a casual take out there are options for every occasion. For those of you who still haven’t caught on to the trend vegan means eating only plant-derived foods without consuming any kind of animal products. So go ahead and give this new lifestyle a go! (Beyoncé did.)

Café Gratitude

With three locations in Larchmont, Downtown and Venice this place serves the top vegan food in LA. With each meal starting with “I Am…” it’s easy to get lost in so many organic choices.  They serve salads, sandwiches, kale chips, and unbelievable vegan bowls. Café Gratitude supports the organic/biodynamic wine and beer makers so don’t forget to get a glass for dinner. If you’d like to spot an occasional celeb or two perhaps doing a magazine interview or casually picking up an “I am Humble” bowl this is the place to go!

Gracias Madre

Good for lunch or dinner this restaurant hit West Hollywood like a storm. With its large patio for those warm LA summer nights and an overwhelming tequila bar it’s hard not to see why the line is out the door so get your reservations in early! Located on Melrose this is a Mexican restaurant with a twist-it’s all vegan! Get ready to put on your best outfit and fill up on the not so light dishes here. Lots of potatoes and cashew crema on the menu!

Real Food Daily

This is a more established restaurant on the casual side with many locations all over LA. They serve salads, quesadillas, sandwiches, lasagna and of course lots of vegan bowls. Wine can also be an option here for a nice dinner drink. They make all their food fresh by hand and their water is run through charcoal filters and purified 3 times over. With lots of options to try it’s great for a relaxing night out!

Thai Vegan

This is the place to be for a quick meal or carry out in Santa Monica or their new location in Marina Del Rey. Parking is in the front and the vibe is very Zen especially if you are eating inside. Everything on the menu is of course Thai vegan and with the low price point keeps us coming back for more. The favorite dishes are tofu satay marinated in yellow curry along with a peanut sauce and the papaya salad! Also don’t forget to grab a freshly squeezed juice with your meal. Hits the spot every time!
