June is Beauty Month at Citizen Femme and to celebrate we are taking a sneak peek into the team’s cosmetic cases to unveil our ultimate beauty recommendations.
From the SPF that our beauty editor always recommends, to our founder’s favourite lip colour, the recommendations span skincare, makeup, fragrance and haircare, with both classic products and newer finds making the list that the CF team have tried, tested and loved.
These are the beauty recommendations that we couldn’t live without.

“There’s a reason CE Ferulic from Skinceuticals has cult status. For me, it’s the first thing I apply to my skin after a shower and I have seen a noticeable difference in my skin since I started using it almost 2 years ago. I use it as my daily Vitamin C serum and it has without a doubt helped me with a constant brighter and more evenly-toned complexion. After this, my daily essential is the Revive SPF. Come summer or winter, I never leave the house without using SPF and this is my favourite, serving as my daily sunscreen and moisturiser, lightweight and transparent.”
“More often than not, I’m ready to leave the house with just these 2 key products. But I don’t! And the one last thing I carry with me everywhere is Burt’s Bees Hibiscus lip tint, which gives you a hint of colour and hours of moisturisation. The shade has just the right amount of pink/red hue with a sheer natural shimmer that softly flatters and nourishes all day.”

“I’m very lucky that as a beauty editor I get to try a lot of new beauty innovations every month. However, there are certainly a few products that I return to again and again. First, and foremost, is the Garnier Ambre Solaire Super UV Serum. I’m like a broken record when it comes to emphasising the skin health and appearance-boosting qualities of sunscreen in general, but if someone comes to me worrying about breaking out or feeling oily after applying SPF, this is one of my top beauty recommendations.”

It also seems to last for months so I’d say it’s good value for money. Finally, before discovering the Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel I wasn’t cleansing my face properly and just using face wipes. This is a game-changer as I look forward to using it every night to clean my skin from the day’s makeup and pollution. The rose and chamomile scented formula is a clever gel-to-oil consistency that melts into the skin easily and turns milky when mixed with water. I love the feel of my skin after – it’s super clean and revitalised, and I find it’s particularly good for soothing sun damaged and dry skin.”

It has a nourishing formula and keeps my lips moisturised and soft. It’s definitely become a must-have in my routine!”

“I am devout believer in the power of La Mer. I’ve used their products for years and my favourite moisturiser is the Soft Cream. I believe it is completely worth the price tag. It’s also really lovely to have a tan, but my days of putting my face in the sun are long gone – it’s just not worth the damage to my skin. Instead, I use the Tan Luxe facial drops. Just a few in my moisturiser and I look like I’ve had a week in the Med. There is always a Nars lipstick in my handbag too. My go-to is the After-Glow Lip Balm in shade Dolce Vita. The shade is pretty and natural, but it still makes my make-up feel complete.”
