We don’t give out our Stamp of Approval to just anyone, after all. It’s an award given to only the best venues, which meet our tick-box criteria of greatness.
Writers give a venue this stamp if it excels across our 25 pre-selected categories, ranking each category individually from 1-10 and adding up the results at the end to see if the venue makes the cut. The things that we judge a hotel on are amenities such as lighting, wardrobe space, cosmetic products and bathroom amenities, room facilities such as hair dryers, safety deposit boxes and the provision of the room service menu, the comfort of the mattress and pillows and quality of the linen, the Wi-Fi speed, and facilities outside of the room including spa and business facilities (if applicable), children’s entertainment and the quality of the Concierge.
And we have a special category for that je ne sais quoi, Citizen Femme ‘something’ that makes your stay just that little bit extra special. We add all of these and more together, and only if a venue scores 85% or above in this test does it get our sought-after Stamp of Approval – so you can be sure that you’re getting only the very best with these venues.
