In preparation for life after lockdown, we’re partnering with The Hoxton, Holborn to give one CF reader (and their guest) the chance to win a two-night stay at one of London’s buzziest hotels.
A stone’s throw from the West End and Covent Garden, The Hoxton, Holborn is the ideal spot for a short getaway. Inspired by the building’s history as a telephone exchange, expect industrial-style interiors, parquet flooring, and mid-century finishes at every bend and turn. In your room you’ll find artworks dappled across the walls – otherwise bedrooms are largely pared back and understated in design. If you’ve had trouble dosing off lately – you’ll be particularly glad to know that a good night’s sleep is all but guaranteed here thanks to the hotel’s extra-comfy mattresses and black-out blinds.
Come morning, you’ll be treated to breakfast at Rondo – the Hoxton Holborn’s new restaurant, helmed by St-John alumni Chris Gillard. Here, the focus is on sustainable produce, serving up bold British dishes from breakfast through to dinner. On morning one, fill up on moreish cinnamon buns and Nduja scrambled eggs on sourdough toast (flip the tables on day two with granola and fresh fruits – and a side of smashed avocado for good measure).
