Insider Guide To Beirut With L'Atelier Nawbar

Beirut is a vibrant city. It’s had its fair share of shake ups, but never lacks soul, charm or the unbeatable desire to bounce back.

Lebanese jewellery duo and founders of L’Atelier Nawbar, Dima and Tania, are from a family of jewellers. They spent their childhood adorned in their father’s and grandfather’s designs, and are the first females in the Nawbar dynasty. With the launch of their brand in Harrods they are now bringing a slice of Lebanon to the UK.

We speak to the sisters about their magical hometown of Beirut, and they tell us where to eat the best Lebanese food, about cultural hot spots that have inspired their designs, and how to find calm amongst the city’s bustling urban scene.

The best time to visit:

December or June as this is when the city is full of life.

Our first pit-stop should be…

Your favourite hotel to check-in at is…

Albergo in Ashrafieh, it is one of the most beautiful hotels in Lebanon. The old world charm with old fashioned service assures an entrancing stay.
