What Our Fashion Editor Is Loving This June

It’s time to plan your spring-summer sartorial calendar, aided by Citizen Femme’s June 2024 fashion round-up.

Featuring names to know, hot collabs and exciting summer launches, our fashion editor’s picks will see you through summer in style.

THE NAME TO KNOW

Founder Cloe Cassandro's namesake London-based brand was born from a passion to create resortwear with a conscience. Her signature batik prints and summertime silhouettes are inspired by people and places, and are ethically made around the world. In her latest collection, Return to Form, you'll find pieces hand-printed in Denpasar, and crochet crafted in Singaraja, Bali, using local methods and craftsmen. Colourful knit mini dresses, chic co-ords and sheer cover-ups provide the perfect pieces to pack this summer, whether you're sunning in Saint Tropez or road-tripping in California, and the responsible design of the mix-and-match separates gives peace of mind.

THE COLLECTION

Marseille brand Sessùn is one to have on your radar this summer. A staple in the French fashion scene, founder Emma François began her journey into design after a trip to Guatemala in Latin America. Inspired by local craftsmen and women, her brand marries local know-how and street culture and produces creative collections that play on artisan techniques, vintage codes and beautiful fabrics for the free-spirited woman. On our wishlist? The Darling Shell Shirt.

THE SWIMWEAR

Brazilian swimwear brand ViX was one of the first brands to introduce luxury swimwear to women in the United States, and has continued to pioneer for over 20 years. Founder Paula Hermanny had always envisioned creating her own swimwear and resortwear line during her humble beginnings growing up at the beach in Brazil, and ViX now extends far beyond America, with stockists worldwide. Her hand-crafted designs are a reflection of her Brazilian heritage, with bold, tasteful pieces full of detail and adorned with exquisite prints – a tribute to the vibrancy of her culture.

THE COLLAB

Raise your vacation vibration this summer with an exclusive edit of pieces from Italian brand La DoubleJ and British brand Orlebar Brown. Designed as a deluxe new spin on destination dressing, the Milanese brand's vibrant, playful opulence is fused with Orlebar Brown's English sophistication for a collection of 34 swimwear and resortwear-ready styles in a palette of red, white and blue. The statement swimsuits, crochet co-ords and poplin dresses are for you, and tailored swimshorts, trousers and shirts are for the man in your life. Summer magic awaits.

THE SUMMER STYLE

Discover the Côte d'Azur this summer with Californian brand Rail's new collection of French Riviera inspired-pieces. Designed to take you from sun-kissed shores to quaint cobblestone streets, the Mediterranean is at the heart of this collection, with relaxed yet refined pieces that will see you from dusk 'til dawn. I predict the Maja Pants to be a best-seller.

THE BRIDAL

De La Vali’s founders have flurried into bridal this summer, with a collection of wedding-ready pieces suited to the modern, free-spirited bride. Ethereal bohemianism best describes the 20-piece collection, designed for those who share a love of Ibiza‘s bohemian culture with free flowing silks, lace details and relaxed silhouettes taking centre stage. There’s a dress for every bride, whether you're looking for a relaxed silhouette for beach nuptials, or a glamourous silk slip dress for a city ceremony.

THE JEWELLERY

Following the success of their first design partnership together, jewellery brand Daphine has collaborated with fashion muse Monikh Dale for the second time, on an 11-piece collection that will sing to your summer wardrobe. Earthy elements like jade and jasper stones, as well as sculptural elements in gold and silver are handmade by skilled artisans in Daphine's Jaipur atelier, and act as amulets that can be passed down through generations – the brand spirit rooted in family and timelessness.

THE SHOES

They're the backbone of any well-curated holiday wardrobe, and Ancient Greek Sandals have debuted an exclusive high-summer capsule at NET-A-PORTER which includes eight styles that feature ocean-inspired stone and metal detailing. Staying true to their roots of handmade leather sandals that combine traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design, these exclusive sandals have a luxury modern twist, from faux-coral ankle straps to beaded and gold-tone shell embellishments.
