Following a six-year long career in investment management, Kabra-Davies shifted her focus towards the sharing economy. Coming up with the idea for By Rotation whilst on honeymoon in Rajasthan, the company started as a “side hustle”, with Kabra-Davies leaving her full-time job six months after By Rotation’s incorporation to focus solely on her new endeavour.
“For me, it’s really about getting people to use what they already have as opposed to just accessibility to designer fashion. I think that’s just scratching the surface. It’s really about changing the mentality of people and getting them to be much more conscious of their consumption all together. So that’s not just what they rent, but it’s also about being more strategic about how they shop.”
“Buy less, buy better, and rotate more – which is, to share more.”
