Federica Labanca On Her London Fashion Week Wardrobe

Born and raised in Milan but now London-living, Art Director Federica Labanca may have one of the coolest wardrobes in the city.

Starting her career in visual merchandising at Italian fashion house Dolce & Gabbana and then moving to Prada, Federica has an expert eye for detail, you just need to glimpse at the expertly curated looks on her Instagram profile to see she has a creative gift.

She shares her London Fashion Week plans with Citizen Femme, from the designers she has her eye on to the restaurants she visits for a post-show wind down.

Which shows are you most excited about?

I am always very excited to see what 16Arlington founder Marco Capaldo create. It’s just so inspiring to see the evolution of the brand and 16Arlington is one that never fails to amaze me.

The up-and-coming British brand you have your eye on?

The brand that I am really excited about is J E Cai. I just adore the way he plays with restructuring each piece. I’ve been wearing him loads and I cannot wait to see the show.

Do you have a signature fashion week style?

I like to play a bit more with fashion, but I love bold colours all year round and I am not a fan of overdoing it during fashion week.

The brands you’ll be wearing:

J E Cai, Ura, New Arrivals, as well as lots of archive pieces and plenty of emerging designers.

In one word, LFW is:

Young!

Best place for a pit stop?

Joe & The Juice! A Serrano sandwich and Power Shake to be precise. My go-to…

And for dinner with friends post-shows?

Zephyr in Notting Hill, Chiltern Firehouse in Marylebone, Sparrow in Mayfair… the food scene in London is just so great at the moment.

What’s in your fashion week survival kit?

A power bank, setting powder (considering this crazy heat wave), my camera and my lipgloss.

Your fashion week wardrobe?

This entire look from J E Cai, fun heels like my new di Minno’s and structured jackets with shoulders – I love wearing Destree’s jackets. Colourful sets like this one from Asta Resort, my favourite dress from New Arrivals, the new Dior toujours bag and my new favourite Jimmy Choos.

The best place to treat yourself post-fashion week is…

HOME! Nothing like being home and having a massage post-fashion week.
