Nothing compares to the allure of a Chanel tweed jacket. Originating in the 1930s, it’s one of Gabrielle Chanel’s most iconic designs. You’ll find it in abundance at the Gabrielle Chanel. Fashion Manifesto exhibition at the V&A, the first UK exhibition dedicated to the work of the French couturière. Her successor, Karl Lagerfeld – Chanel’s creative director between 1983 and his death in 2019 – famously said, “there are things in fashion that never go out of style: jeans, a white shirt and a Chanel jacket.”
Ranking high on the fashion elites’ wishlist, here’s our edit of the best new season bouclé jackets to wear with denim and ballet pumps, in true Parisian style. Shop our favourites below.
