February is here and with it comes school half-term holidays. So if you’re wondering what to do with children this month, take inspiration from the Citizen Enfants team and some of our mum contributors.
We need to fill up the February days and enjoy time out with our children during the half-term, as well as look ahead to fun days out in Spring. From chic but child-friendly UK hotels, stylish skiwear for all the family and some wonderful cultural and entertaining experiences, you’ll be filled with inspiration to make this month a fun one.

EAT One of my favourite Japanese restaurants ROKA is celebrating their 20 years, and as a nod to this celebration, have a fab lunch menu. I’ll be enjoying this with some girlfriends! (Perhaps introducing my little girl to sushi too) BUY Kidly have a very cute new denim collection for babies in super-soft cotton denim, the jeans and over-shirt are my favourites for my little boy. BOOK Half-term is packed with tons of activities including CBEEBIES Ocean Adventure at the Royal Festival Hall as part of Southbank’s Imagine Children’s Festival. I’ve also booked the Pottery Cafe and Tootbus! STAY I’m not going away this February but I have booked ahead to Six Senses Residences Courchevel for a lovely family ski getaway, they have 2 bedroom residences and great facilities for beginner’s skiing. I’m very excited to get my daughter on skis for the first time. HOST I’m really excited to host a panel on the importance of family travel alongside some brilliant women at Annabel’s later this month, part of lots of events we are doing for parents and kids. TREAT YOURSELF I’ve indulged in a lovely pair of Jennifer Chamandi shoes for the occasion! So stylish and very comfortable. USE Immunity and good sleep are vital right now with the cold weather, viruses and busy schedule. I’m taking Leapfrog IMMUNE as a daily supplement.

STAY We are off to Lech in Austria for a ski holiday this half term. My boys are all experienced skiers now, but when they were little we hired private instructors which meant they learnt really quick and received excellent tuition. If you are taking kids to the slopes, check out SkiBro and Maison Sport. Both companies can help you find great English-speaking instructors at lots of resorts all over Europe and often have last minute availability. WEAR For lovely cosy base layers that will keep little people warm when skiing, or any time take a look at Smalls Merino who have a lovely selection. BOOK I have spent many, many years building (and tidying up!) all sorts of elaborate creations with my Lego-mad boys. My nine-year-old still loves it so I’m definitely booking the super-cool new Lego exhibition The Art of the Brick. It arrives in London next month, but it will be very popular so I’m getting my tickets now. GIFT I just love the brand Marie Chantal for beautiful baby gifts. I’ll be buying the adorable Baby Bedtime Gift set for a friend who has just had a little girl. SHOP I seem to carry everything but the kitchen sink in my handbag, so I need something room that holds it all. I have my eye on the roomy but chic Corner Tote from JW Anderson.

STAY I’ve visited Beaverbrook a couple of times now for lunch with girlfriends and loved it, but really want to book an overnight stay with my family. It comes with the most glowing reviews from both children and their parents. WEAR We’re about to go skiing and I have a Net-a-Porter basket full of my dream alpine wardrobe from head to toe Perfect Moment, classic Moon Boots and apres ski by Varley. VISIT Somerset House have an exhibition on called Cute which my children are so excited to visit. We love a good museum day especially if we can take the Thames Clipper too. BOOK I am very excited to book Il Gattopardo for a date night with my husband this month, I’ve been once before with friends and it’s not only completely delicious but has such a great atmosphere. DRINK I’m a devotee of the Lockdown Liquor Co. and cannot wait to try their new Margarita mix they’re making in collaboration with Quarterproof the low alcohol spirits company. BUY I’m late to the party but I finally tried Beauty Pie and am now totally hooked. I use their products down to the very last drop. Triple Hyaluronic Acid, Jeju Mist and Eye Heroes Kit are some of my favourites.

STAY For half-term we are off on our annual ski trip to Val D’Isere. It’s a beautiful destination so I can’t wait. Plus I shall actually get some chalet time to myself thanks to the brilliant Jelly and Icecream nanny and childcare services. PACK I’ll be taking Perfect Moment kids skiwear, and matching rental adult versions from My Wardrobe Hq paired with chalet-chic winter Bambi boots from Camilla Elphick. BOOK A stay at The Grove, a family favourite where the food is utterly delicious, and where we enjoy a fun-packed activity schedule for the kids including the cutest little mini Land Rover replicas trail experience and ‘the grid’, an immersive activity centre for slightly older kids for ages six and over. BUY I am evangelical about the Snoo! It has kept me sane during the baby bubble weeks, and allowed me to get so much rest- my baby is 8 weeks old and already pretty much sleeping through the night, thanks to the self-soothing habits encouraged by this miracle-working smart sleeper cot. BOOK Disney on Ice at Wembley, I am an unapologetic Disneyphile and we loved the show at the O2 last year so we can’t wait to see the new show, Dream Big. VISIT London newest members’ club 1 Warwick in Soho, opening its doors for non-members also for a rental pop-up event encouraging sustainable fashion choices during London Fashion Week.
