What Our Fashion Editor Is Loving This March

It’s time to plan your sartorial calendar, aided by Citizen Femme’s March 2024 fashion round-up.

Featuring summer-ready accessories, Australian swimwear and Californian-cool ready-to-wear, our fashion editor’s picks will see you through the month in style.

THE CLUB DROP

Varley founder, Lara Mead has a flair for making leisurewear look polished and this season the London-based brand are expanding their Club collection, with an edit of sophisticated pieces suited for on and off the courts. Inspired by sports club classics; pleated tennis skirts, dresses, piqué polos and knitted sweaters with a contemporary flair are all on offer, suitable for your summer leisure plans. Launching 14 March.

THE SUNGLASSES

This British eyewear brand was established in London only three years ago, but is making waves with its sustainable styles and new perspective. Drawing inspiration from the founders' African heritage and the importance of actioning change, Clare and Christina Kimeze design fashion forward, acetete and metal frames that are handcrafted in small batches in Italy and are a collaboration between world-class creatives and eyewear professionals working together. The Concept 3 cat-eye sunglasses are top of our wishlist.

THE BAGS

Whether home or away, DeMellier is the London-based brand to carry about town. The latest summer collection, Côte d'Azur, is an ode to the relaxed, warm-weather elegance of the South of France, with effortless, elegant styles from canvas striped shoulder bags to chic, ladylike top-handle bags taking you from al fresco dining in Cannes to sun-basking on the Mediterranean coastline.

THE SWIMWEAR

Australian swimwear brand Bond-Eye, born in Sydney's Bondi beach, is designed using The Authentic Crinkle™ fabric, and is one size fits all from XS to L. Handmade styles follow a four-way stretch and instant recovery along the body, resulting in snap-back swimwear that flatters every figure. Made to be seen, the bold, ultra flattering silhouettes are created with intention from start to finish, incorporating modern ethical production practices.

THE LA DOLCE VITA

L'avventura di Sézane is the latest collection from French fashion brand Sézane. Although born in Paris, this season the brand takes us on a La Dolce Vita journey from Milan to Rome, with new limited-edition pieces boasting Italian-inspired prints, embroideries, and savoir faire. Like every season, Sézane celebrates creativity locally by honoring artists and their work, transporting you to the Italian streets.

THE CALIFORNIAN COOL

Coastal ease was the inspiration behind FRAME's spring collection, boasting signature Californian styles true to the brand's DNA but with a fresh take on modern dressing, seen through unexpected details, precise design and luxurious materials. Timeless favourites like crisp shirts and trusty denim staples remain the pillar, but are mixed with textures like ruffles and crochet for a wardrobe that will see you through the season with a contemporary elegance.

THE JEWELLERY

London-based, demi-fine jewellery brand Missoma are giving women armour this season, with jewellery inspired by the Greek goddess of protection. The Hera collection has 14 sculptural pieces that celebrate the strength of femininity through statement bangles, mixed metal sculptural rings and earrings with a nod to Ancient Byzantine amulets. Handcrafted in their London studio, the jewellery is made using 100 per cent responsibly-sourced recycled gold and silver.
