What Our Fashion Editor Is Loving This April

It’s time to plan your spring/summer sartorial calendar, aided by Citizen Femme’s April 2024 fashion round-up.

Featuring covetable collaborations, chic swimwear and must-have capsules, our fashion editor’s picks will see you through the summer in style.

THE RESORT DROP

Casa Raki founder Josefina Alazraki was inspired by her homeland of Argentina for her latest high-summer collection, La Estancia. Her sustainable resortwear brand is designed for lovers of travel, with relaxed pieces suited to vacation dressing – her latest drop showcasing a connection to Argentina's natural landscapes through breezy linen separates in a earthy colour palette. The Marita bikini in ocean blue, a CF favourite, represents her love for the sky, the sea and the colours of the Argentinian flag.

THE SANDALS

The ultimate summer essential has landed, where Paris meets St. Tropez in an exclusive collaboration between French brands Longchamp and K.Jacques. Showcasing leather-making savoir-faire and artisanal expertise, K.Jacques' iconic flat sandals and Longchamp's Cuir de Russie leather – which you'll find on their iconic Le Pliag bags – is combined for an elegant summer staple. The sandals are available in six colours, and can be personalised with initials.

THE SWIMWEAR

Founded in 2018, Away That Day is a household name for swimwear lovers, and proves that sustainability doesn’t compromise on sexy, stylish swimwear. Their latest collection of styles is made with an exclusive texture crafted from Q-NOVA® by Fulgar, an ultra-soft, innovative, durable polyamide made with recycled materials that would have otherwise ended up in landfill. The Hamptons one-piece is in our basket.

THE COLLAB

Mango kicked off its first designer collaboration with Los Angeles-based brand Simon Miller last summer, and is set to unveil its second with Victoria Beckham on 23rd April. The capsule will coincide with Mango's 40th anniversary, and will feature a collection of styles that fuse classic British luxury from Victoria Beckham with Mango's contemporary design aestheic. Expect precision tailoring with a twist, feminine dresses, versatile knitwear and stand-out accessories. It's one of the most anticipated designer collaborations this summer.

THE CAPSULE

It's unlikely your vacation wardrobe is without British brand Rat & Boa, and they are dropping a new collection on 14th April in time for summer. Genesis is a capsule of eight pieces that serve as a testament to timelessness, with fluid ivory dresses and a relaxed trouser suit perfect for sandy shores and sun-kissed skin this summer.

THE FRENCH BRAND

French lifestyle label Tressé curate their monthly collections with inspiration from a destination or a journey. Their series of 'suitcases' bear the imprint of the brand's postcard spirit, with pieces telling nostalgic travel stories. Their spring/summerr 24 collection Valise d'Italie is a sensory journey through the iconic towns of Italy, from the free-spirited lemon and rosebud motifs found in Venetian gardens to the sun-faded palette of the south.

THE JEWELLERY

Leading the way as sustainable jewellery that's stylish yet suitable for your everyday wardrobe, Monica Vinader is a heavyweight in the jewellery industry. The Nura necklace, which comes with a 100 per cent traceable product passport, was inspired by the glamour of the 1950s, combining two vintage classics: the choker and the chain. It's crafted in 18k gold vermeil and has bespoke, artful links that make it a beautiful statement piece you'll want to pass down as an heirloom.

    THE ATHLEISURE

They're a staple in women's wardrobes worldwide, and Adanola is pioneering in affordable yet sustainable activewear designed to suit the multifaceted lives of women. Their latest spring drop will fit seamlessly into your athleisure collection, with neutral pieces in their signature comfort styles that you'll wear on repeat during off-duty days.
