When I first invested in these shoes, I swore to only wear them around the house. I think I may have even referred to them as ‘hooves’ at some point – I’m aware they’re not classically the prettiest looking things. But now, I simply cannot, and will not, restrict them to the house any longer. They’re too comfortable and, frankly, too chic to be donned only within the four walls of my home. I love this mink-coloured version, which I recently found online at MATCHESFASHION.
My mother, Skye Gyngell, has been working on an exciting project throughout lockdown. Starting out as an online shop she soon realised Spring-To-Go was something she wanted to continue doing even once life returned to ‘normal’. So, when a beautiful site on Ledbury Road presented itself, she decided to seize the opportunity and create a retail space selling all of her favourite things – freshly baked goods, Biodynamic produce grown by Jane Scotter at Fern Verrow Farm and Heckfield Place, and unbelievable flowers by Kitten Grayson. Downstairs, there’s the most beautiful private dining room, which seats up to 16 people. Think of it as Spring’s little sister, who happened to grow up in Sydney in the 70s.
Found & Vision is a London-based vintage store located on Portobello Road. Its primary focus: sourcing collectable, fine, and fun vintage clothes and accessories. They also offer a great hiring service for those not looking to buy new this party season – just FYI.
