Misha Nonoo reimagines what a modern fashion label looks like. As a fashion designer and a traveller, Misha has pared it down completely, focusing on the essentials, embracing simplicity, creating chic yet sustainable fashion for women on the go. It’s all about boardroom to date nights, weekend errands to vacations, and beyond. #DayToPlay
Our favourite is her Easy 8 collection, comprising of eight minimalist pieces that, according to Nonoo, can be assembled into 22 distinct looks, the Easy 8 keeps closets and suitcases conveniently uncrowded.

Inside New York
When is the best time of year to New York and why?
Nothing beats New York in the Spring time. The weather is warm and pleasant but without too many tourists.
How would you spend an ideal day in New York?
A sound meditation session at MNDFL, a walk-through Washington Square Park with my darling dog Thatcher, brunch with friends at Russ & Daughters, a visit to the Whitney Museum, cocktails with my boyfriend at Minetta Tavern followed by dinner at Il Buco.
How has your city influenced your work?
New York City plays host to some of the most fabulous professional women. They’ve inspired me to design an efficient yet stylish wardrobe for their fast-paced lifestyle. London equipped me with knowledge about timeless silhouettes and understated elegance, so to be able to bring that into a modern setting has been very exciting.
Where do you go to get inspired?
Art Galleries and Museums. I love wandering around and brainstorming what I want to do next.
Which is your favourite neighbourhood and why?
Greenwich Village – it’s where I’ve lived for several years and I’ve grown to love it.
Describe your city in three words…
Electric, Inspiring, Diverse.
What’s the best way to get around?
I walk whenever I can, but I will jump in a Uber if I am traveling longer distances. If I’m in a rush nothing beats a traditional yellow cab!
What should I wear?
I prefer minimal style. Keep it simple and streamlined always.
Essential beauty item to pack?
Dr. Barbara Sturm’s molecular products – they travel with me wherever I go. Specifically, the Face Mask to help my skin when jet lagged and dehydrated after a long journey.
Favourite Hotel? Why?
I travel a great deal and stay in lots of hotels but I particularly fancy the Rosewood Hotel collection and Claridges when I’m in London. I’m also such a fan of 1 Hotels in New York and Miami. They’re eco-friendly hotels and sustainability is incredibly important to me. I’ve noticed it can often fall to the wayside when people travel so I think it’s fantastic they keep the environment as a priority.
I work out five days a week and meditate first thing in the morning. Cardio is such an important part of my routine along with implementing a couple of yoga or pilates classes in the mix during the week.
Jimmy Choo – I’m obsessed with their pumps!
Blowout – Lucien.
Budget – Gramercy Tavern.
Bars? Bowery Hotel or Little Branch.
The post bar-bar? My home – I love entertaining and having my friends back for a night cap is the perfect end to an evening.
The only place locals know about?? Dia:Beacon galleries in upstate New York. It’s the perfect day trip to get out of the city and see some amazing contemporary art.
Souvenir to take home? Anything sports related – NY has some of the most famous sports teams and their memorabilia is equally fantastic.
