This Week CF Loves: 02.10.23

This may well be the most exciting spa opening of the year and our favourite casual brand strikes again.

From your casual coffee run (wearing this, of course) to your 2024 plans inscribed in the most chic way, this is what we are loving in this week’s Citizen Femme hotlist.

VISIT THIS Dior Spa, Hôtel Plaza Athénée

One of the most exciting spa openings in Paris this year, the Dior Spa at Hôtel Plaza Athénée has finally opened its doors after a long renovation, and it was worth the wait. Effortlessly combining a sense of cocooning calm with the effectiveness of high-tech treatments, the spa is now home to the first Dior Light Suite, where three unique rituals – Recharge, Recover, and Rest – use calibrated light therapy to help recalibrate your circadian rhythms, alleviate stress, and boost your energy. That means better sleep, healthier-looking skin, and an incredible sense of relaxation. There are also two exclusive Dior treatments specifically crafted for the hotel, and a fitness studio where you can train, and access leading yoga and meditation sessions led by elite Parisian coaches. It almost goes without saying: make it top of your list for your next French spa day. Becki Murray.

EAT HERE Il Gattopardo, Mayfair

Opening this Friday, Il Gattopardo, translated from Italian as ‘The Leopard’, will be the first own-brand concept from the global restaurateurs behind brands such as COYA, Amazónico and Bar des Prés. Sitting perfectly amongst the art galleries, luxury arcades and designer stores of Mayfair’s Albemarle Street, the 85-cover restaurant features a main dining room which leads to an intimate salon with an open fireplace, followed by a hidden terrace with a retractable roof revealing an alluring alfresco space. A warm colour palette and dark woods will be brought to life with bold splashes of cobalt blue and signature leopard print touches, whilst free-form sculptures, objects and artwork will speak to the influence of the master of Italian flair. For the discerning, fashion-forward eye, notable Italian brands will be present in the form of Ginori adorning the tables; and La Double J, the Milan-based maximalist label which will be worn by the hostesses. As for the food, the restaurant’s menu will centre around Italian classics and modern interpretations of dishes from across Italy. Opening in the peak of white truffle season, this is your October must-visit for dining out.

BUY THIS Le Bristol Paris x Sporty & Rich

Sporty & Rich strikes again. Collaborating with Le Bristol Paris, the California leisurewear brand has launched a co-branded capsule collection featuring ready-to-wear travel attire and accessories. Conceived to encompass the modern jet-setter’s essentials (oh-so-very CF), the collection embodies Le Bristol’s refined elegance and the relaxed, yet sophisticated, aesthetic of the breakthrough brand, Sporty & Rich. “I fell in love with Hotel Le Bristol while visiting Paris for work. It has a special feeling of history and elegance that you can’t help but noticing as soon as you walk through the door. In designing the collection, I wanted to create pieces that spoke to the hotel’s history.” — Emily Oberg, founder of Sporty & Rich. A casual-chic vibe runs through the capsule collection, offering everything from sumptuous cashmere ensembles and stylish, cosy pyjama sets to ultra-comfortable sweatshirts, T-shirts and sweatpants embellished with the brands’ distinctive logos. To complement the timeless apparel, an array of caps, a keychain, a tote bag and socks create coordinated styling possibilities.

USE THIS Smythson's 2024 diary

As the countdown to Christmas begins, its possible you are starting to make marks in your 2024 diary. That’s exactly why we need to look to Smythson who have just launched their 2024 diaries. Whether you are jotting down notes, or simply scribbling down your personal engagements, Smythson really is the only respectable option for a chic year head. Every diary is filled with Smythson’s pale blue Featherweight paper, authenticated by the feather and globe watermark, while hand-painted gilding lines the edges of each page. Each style comes in an array of striking shades — from Eucalyptus and Watermelon to Forest Green and Peony — this season also introducing a new vertical Soho diary layout and Smythson’s very first Evergreen Refillable Diary inspired by its best-loved Evergreen Refillable Notebook; a conscious option for the everyday diarist.

BOOK THIS Lift 109: Fireworks Sky-High

London’s brand new glass elevator and must-visit viewing experience, Lift 109 at Battersea Power Station, is perhaps one of London’s most thrilling experiences. Whisking you to the top of one of the iconic chimneys (at 109 metres), you can enjoy 360° views across the city. The summer sundown sessions welcomed a one-of-a-kind dancefloor,  and the current Full Moon Manifestation Sessions take place monthly guiding you through meditations and self-development exercises under the full light of the full moon. Now, we recommend booking in advance for bonfire bight where you can see the sparks fly from 109 metres up. On Saturday 4th or Sunday 5th November, sip champagne, keep warm and take in the view from the best seat in the house.
