Citizen Enfants

The Citizen Enfants' April Hotlist

Sunglasses, happy feet and getting out and about with little ones in tow is what’s on our April agenda.

We also have wriggling children in mind. From comfortable shoes (with incredible style) when they need to let loose and run around, to the ideal sling for when they’ve exhausted themselves, plus the ultimate downtime when they just need to relax. This is what we’re loving in this month’s Citizen Enfants’ hotlist.

TREAT THEM TO THESE Age of Innocence

Keep little feet happy with Age of Innocence, a pair of shoes for every one of their adventures. Handcrafted, designed for a stylish everyday and all adventures in between. From satin and sparkle pumps for little girls, to cool suede loafers for boys, you can bring a taste of London to your mini’s wardrobe this summer. Created by a team of caring mothers (and their daughters!), Age of Innocence draws inspiration from vintage baby shoes and adds a contemporary touch for a modern, yet timeless look. The SS24 collection is the perfect gift for the little ones to add a spring to their step.

BUY THESE IZIPIZI X Bonpoint

Sunglasses are an essential summer fashion accessory. But for children, sunglasses need to offer much more than just looking cool in the heat. A vital tool to protect young eyes from harmful UVA and UVB rays (along with a good sunscreen and sun hat), a pair of children’s sunglasses should be top of your spring/summer shopping list. Baby sunglasses can be especially tricky. They need to be extra comfortable, flexible and stay put through plenty of wriggling. Look to France’s must-have brand for timeless glasses IZIPIZI, designed with a soft, straight frame that grows with children with a supple, adjustable silicone strap to keep them in place. They are also BPA- free and hypoallergenic (fine if they end up in your baby’s mouth). IZIPIZI have teamed up, once again, with Bonpoint for their SS24 Capsule. Bringing stylish cool to kids aged 0 to 10 with three sunglass frames available in three iconic shapes made from biosourced materials. Blueberry, tender rose and lemon juice colours ensure your little ones grow up smiling.

USE THIS Wildride Carrier

Do you have an overactive toddler in your life? Perhaps prams are not in their sightline right now. Chances are they’ll be perched on your hip near-constantly. The ultimate successor to the front carrier (Artipoppe being my favourite) is the Wildride toddler carrier. Unlike the baby stage, you can easily lift up your toddler and carry them around on your hip anywhere, taking the pressure off you, literally. Available in lots of stylish colours and fabrics, this simple sling-like contraption gives your infant a seat on your torso and, has a padded strap that reaches around your opposite shoulder. It doesn’t restrict your little one’s movement, and is an ideal accessory when they are done walking or (like mine) won’t sit in a stroller, so you can conduct your daily tasks with much more ease.

BOOK IN FOR THIS Little ishga spa treatments

Indulge your little ones in a little pampering, after all, we all need some downtime. Luxury Family Hotels have taken wellness offerings to the next level with “Little ishga” treatments, specially designed for the young and sensitive skin of children. The Scottish seaweed skincare brand ishga presents 15 minute and 25 minute mini-facials using natural and organic products for a gentle and rejuvenating experience. But that’s not all – let them experience a scalp, neck, and shoulder massages tailored to the child’s age range. It’s a chance for the whole family to unwind and relax in our luxurious and family-friendly environment.

READ THIS Kate Silverton's 'There's still no such thing as naughty'

If the Easter holidays have left you slightly exhausted (and possibly exasperated) with energetic young kids, look to Kate Silverton’s latest book There is Still No Such Thing as ‘Naughty’: Parenting the Primary Years (follow up to ‘There’s No Such Thing As ‘Naughty’). Mum to two young children, journalist and children’s mental health advocate shares her new approach to parenting under-fives that helps to make family life so much easier. Kate’s new book helps parents understand how their children’s brains are developing, and what really lies behind the challenging behaviour they’ll often see. Throughout her book, she provides strategies, easy-to-follow scripts and simple techniques will enable you to manage those tricky everyday challenges with ease and help you to enjoy the strongest bond possible with your child, both now and in the years ahead.
