“From a woman’s gaze, sexuality is such a layered thing,” remarks Cameron. “It’s generational; it’s cultural.” In the UK, it seems that sex doesn’t receive the same thought and attention that we give to the rest of our lives, but “we shouldn’t feel guilty about devoting time to it”. Looking at stats relating to purchasing habits over an 18-month period spent in and out of lockdown, however, paints a different, or, at least, evolving picture. During the pandemic, LELO noted a 68% uptake in purchases in the UK – a spending trajectory that suggests perhaps a shift in priorities and a developing openness to exploring our bodies on a deeper level.

Taking a more holistic approach to sex – looking at sex from a physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual perspective – and embracing a more sex positive position, later in this episode our guests question and consider the fundamentals required for women to feel and become more liberated. It’s “about opening your mind”; it’s about “education, acceptance, and remembering to have fun…”
